i hate the idea that heartbreak is exclusive to romantic relationships. some of my most serious heartbreaks have been about platonic friends, and at least in romantic relationships it’s expected to have a talk about breaking up, but with friends there’s no framework. i wish we valued friendships as highly as we do romantic partnerships because it’s serious emotional shit
