"士花人" and this phrase crops up a lot. I'm wondering if anyone can help with with this?
I can't get my head around what it really means or refers to so I'm mostly confused about it and how exactly it plays into the relationship between him and Rin, and everyone else actually. Like is Ii part of the same group? Or just hijikata?
Also is this group like completely fiction or what is it based/referring to historically.
I get the sense that it's something dangerous? A faction? And my translator at some point also suggests something like a "blooming" injury?
So yeah, if anyone could help out that would be greatly appreciated.

A Sengoku warlord feared as the ‘Tiger of Kai’. He aims for the revival of the Takeda clan. He is a beloved existence to his retainers for being broad-minded, but he is cold to his enemies. A womanizer who gives off an adult’s charm. He likes sweets and stocks up on them, but Yukimura is always angry about it.

Even among the warlords he seems powerful, so his design was quickly designed to be magnificent for his personality to come out. The center of gravity of his clothing is slightly lowered. His modern world-like adult natural hair balances out his unique clothes.

If I can say something great, my dream was to be a man that could protect Kai. Even now that hasn’t changed… When I met that girl, I also wanted to be next to the celestial maiden’s warmth. Becoming an adult is really a luxurious thing, isn’t it?

“Master what is wrong?” Archer asks you while tilting his head to side in question, it is only natural that he would ask you that. After all you have been staring at him for a while now, your eyes analyzing every single part of him.
Today on Fate and Phantasms we’re building the ultimate power archer, Arash! Obviously Arash is a paragon of physicality, able to fire shots so powerful not even he can survive them. That is why he’s an Oracle, obviously. waitwaitwait I swear it makes sense!
He’s also an Archer for obvious reasons, and we dip into the Sentinel archetype for more toughness.

Ancestry and Background
Arash is a human, and he’s really good at one thing- arching. That’s why he is a Skilled Human, giving him a boost in Dexterity and Constitution, as well as training with Crafting which will become expertise at level 5 to make your own arrows. But while we’re still at level one, your Cooperative Nature gives you a +4 bonus to all Aid checks, making you pretty helpful to have around.
At level five you can Sense Allies, making it easier to find undetected and hidden allies nearby, what with spiriton energy signatures or something.
At level nine your Cooperative Soul makes your help even more helpful- if you’re an expert or better with the skill you’re helping with, your help will always be at least a success, giving them a +1 bonus.
At level 13 you can Bounce Back as a free action once a day, preventing you from being wounded after coming back from the dying condition.
Finally, at level 17 your Stubborn Persistence lets you ignore being fatigued if you pass a DC 17 check, though you’ll have to make the check again later if it’s a recurring effect. You wouldn’t know it from his farming vids, but Arash is pretty hearty, except for the obvious.
Arash is a Warrior, giving him training in Warfare and Intimidation, as well as giving him the Intimidating Glare to demoralize enemies without them having to know your language. You also get another boost in Constitution and Wisdom.
Class Levels
1. Okay so first we gotta get through the training stuff, but then I swear this is gonna make sense. Here we go. Key ability: Charisma. Trained in Perception, Religion Fortitude and Reflex saves, Unarmed and Simple Weapons, Unarmed and Light Armor, Athletics, Diplomacy, Survival, and eventually Society once you get your brain big. Also expertise in Will saves. Now onto my thesis defense.
All oracles get their power from a Mystery, which not only gives you extra skills and cantrips and spells, but also gives you a curse, which grows as you use revelation spells (the oracles’ equivalent of focus spells) over the course of the day. Casting a revelation spell increases your curse’s severity, though you can Refocus to reduce your curse back down to minor severity while also regaining a focus point. If you cast a focus spell while at moderate curse makes you overwhelmed, cutting you off from your focus spells until you finish a long rest. At higher levels, you can take on higher tiers of curse before getting overwhelmed.
So this means if we can find a powerful focus spell in the oracle list, we can use the kickback from Oracle curses as a sort of pseudo suicide tactic! And to make it better, one of the mysteries you can pick here is Battle, giving you training with medium and heavy armor and Athletics, as well as more effects as you level up. You also learn the Shield cantrip for even more toughness, and you can let out a Call to Arms with a focus point, giving you and all allies nearby a +2 on initiative rolls, and temporary HP for a minute. And by taking the Zeal domain spell list, you can apply a Weapon Surge to your bow, adding +1 damage to its next attack roll, and an extra die of damage. Since you’re a battle mystery oracle, you also gain training with Martial Bows since those are your specialty.
As for your curse- at minor, you have -2 AC and saves, but every time you make a strike, you can negate those penalties. At moderate, you only reduce the penalty, rather than negate it. On the upside, you get +2 to all weapon and unarmed damage rolls, and gain fast healing each round equal to half your level in combat. Finally at major you get double the fast healing, get a +6 to damage, and a +1 bonus to attack rolls, but you’re also Stupefied, weakening any intelligence, wisdom, or charisma based checks and DCs by 2, including spells, which you’ll have to make a flat check to cast at all.
You also get training in Nature.
You can also cast Divine Spells from your Spell Repetoire. You have five cantrips and two spell slots currently, and you gain a new spell for each slot you gain. The only spells we really need are Magic Weapon and Harm. The former makes your bow hit harder and better, the latter is a versatile magic attack- right now it has a range of touch if you only spend one action on it, but we’ll get a fix for that as we go. We’re not here to do much fancy stuff, we’re just hitting things really, really good. If you have a particular single-target spell you like, feel free to put it on the list.
Oh right, before I forget, use your first Ability Boost to bump up your physical stats as well as your Charisma- that’s what powers your magic.
2. Your curse eats up your saving throws, but with a Divine Aegis it’s not quite so bad. Spend your reaction to get +1 on all saves against non-divine magic, but a -1 for divine magic. I wouldn’t take Arash to fight Zeus anyway, but now here’s another reason. You can also use Natural Medicine to patch yourself up while you’re out hunting, possibly using Nature instead of Medicine in the check and getting a +2 bonus if your DM’s cool. Finally, we’re still not good with a bow and arrow. That’s what the Archer Dedication is for. You get proficiency in simple and martial bows equal to your proficiency with other weapons, and if you’re at least an expert you’ll get the critical specialization with that bow. That doesn’t do anything right away since you’re already trained up, but it opens doors to other archer feats.
3. at level 3 you can use Magical Crafting to make some low-level common magical arrows. arrow construction is in the bag, and it’s only level 3, we’re on a roll here!
You also learn Signature Spells this level, one per level of spell you can cast. Normally you need to re-learn a spell to heighten it- not so with these. Obviously we want this on Harm, since upcasting Magic Weapon does nothing.
We’re trying to be beefy with a casting class, so bump up that Athletics while we can.
4. at fourth level you can bespell weapon as a free action after casting a spell, adding a d6 of extra damage to your weapon attacks for the rest of the round. Harm is necromancy, so that’s some bonus negative damage, and if you were using harm in the first place that’ll be good to follow up with. This also works with your focus spells- Call to Arms is enchantment, so you’ll deal mental damage, while Weapon Surge adds extra force damage as an evocation spell.
To make Arrow Construction a bit easier, check out Specialty Crafting for a +1 bonus on all checks involving Fletching. It’s not on the list, but that’s what making arrows is called. I’m sorry for focusing on this one skill so hard but doing crazy damage and dying from it is a high level activity, I swear we’ll get there.
For more combat specialization, you can make a Quick Shot in a single action to draw and fire your bow in one move.
5. Fifth level oracles learn third level magic, letting us Neutralize Poison for some nice poison resistance. Close enough for government work, at least. It can also work on other people if you’re feeling generous. On top of that, your Ability Boost bumps up your Dexterity, Constitution, Wisdom, and Charisma this level for tougher abs, a sharper eye, even sharper arrows, and stronger spells.
You also learn a little medicine for some more poison resistance down the line.
6. Congrats, you can now spend an action to turn your next spell into a Reach Spell, increasing its range by 30’. Admittedly, you can already do this with Harm, but we’re getting other spells later that this will be very helpful for.
To continue the chain of effects we could have gotten at level 1 but didn’t, you can make a Group Impression, letting you make a diplomacy check against two people instead of one. That number will increase as we level up in diplomacy, up to a maximum of 25. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll be able to make a diplomacy check so powerful it stops a whole-ass war?
You’ll get there one day, but for now your Advanced Bow Training matches up your advanced bow skills with your martial bow skills.
7. at seventh level you become an Expert Spellcaster, making all your attacks and DCs of spells a little bit stronger. on top of that, your Resolve gives you mastery in will saves, and you always succeed critically unless you fail.
You’re not just brainier though, you also have a Robust Recovery that helps both you and your patients, increasing the bonus to the check to treat diseases and poisons by +4 and making all successes critical for the patient. This works both if you apply the treatment and if you’re the patient. We do have to make you an expert in Medicine first though, but it’s a small price to pay for less poison.
8. okay, time to get suicidal. in-game, not irl. grab the focus spell Debilitating Dichotomy both to crank up your curse and to hurt youself and your enemy at the same time. You both make will saves (with yours being 1 degree better) and then take 9d6 mental damage based on how well you both did. If the enemy gets a critical fail, they’re also stunned for one action. Remember that focus spells level up as you do, up to level 10 when you’re level 20. so by the end of this that’ll be 27d6 in one go for you and them. this has a range of 30’, but with reach spell you can get that to 60 for a shortbow’s worth of death.
for more physicality, you can make a Quick Jump, letting you High Jump and Long Jump as a single action, though you don’t perform the initial stride.
finally, you can spend two actions on an Archer’s Aim, making a ranged attack with a +2 to the roll and ignoring a targets concealed condition, plus reducing the check to hit a hidden target. Arash’s NP is AoE, that sucker’s hitting you wherever you are. …admittedly in game everyone just stands in an open field without moving which makes things much easier, but still.
9. Your magical fortitude makes your fortitude saves stronger, and we’ll also bump up your diplomacy while we’re here for bigger group impressions.
10. at tenth level you get yet another Ability Boost in Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, and Intelligence. You also get the ability to use your Surging Might to power through an enemy’s resistances with your next spell, reducing the resistance of alignment and positive/negative damage by your level. Considering how much we’re resting on Harm, this is nice to have on hand.
you can also use a Crafter’s Appraisal to identify magic items instead of Arcane or other skills, instead using your crafting which we actually trained up.
finally, you can make a Double Shot using two actions to avoid dealing with your multi-attack penalty until your third action.
11. level eleven is pretty nice, even if it keeps it simple. You’re now an expert in Perception as well as Unarmed and Simple Weapons, which means you also have expertise in all Bows. On top of that, you’re a master in Diplomacy, and you can make Improvised Repairs using three actions, turning a broken non-magical item into a shoddy one as long as it doesn’t take damage. Once you can repair it normally, it stops being shoddy as well. It’s not great, but when you’re an archer you’ve got to get used to restringing your bow.
Finally, you get access to your Major Curse! This is when you’re at your most powerful and fragile, and as an added bonus you can recharge 2 points per refocus instead of 1! Now you can spam mind blasts even more often!
12. at level twelve you can unleash your Greater Revelation spell as well, letting you make a Heroic Feat by spending two to three actions. You can use two actions to make any one-action fighter feat, of this spell’s level or lower, or you can spend three actions to do a two-action one. Arash can have a little fighter, as a treat.
You also become a Lead Climber, letting you set up a route as you climb to help your allies.
Your bow is also powerful enough to perform a Staggering Fire, slowing down an enemy you hit up to 10’ on a critical hit, or 5’ on a regular one.
13. level 13 is another easy one. you’re an expert in oracle armors as well as reflex saves. on top of that, you’re a master in Athletics, and your Weapon Specialization means you deal an extra 2 damage with all weapons you’re an expert with.
14. at level fourteen your Mysterious Repertoire lets you add a single non-divine spell to your spell list. If we want to reshape borders, we’ll need a Blazing Fissure. It shoots out in a 120’ line, dealing fire and bludgeoning damage to any creature within it, and possibly knocking them prone if they fail their reflex save. Of course you can swap this out rather freely, it’s just the spell I’d go for.
You can also Quick Climb to get around the mountains of Persia a little bit easier. You move at least 5 feet more with each successful climb check, getting you into a proper vantage point a little bit faster.
Finally, you can make an Assisting Shot with your bow. If the strike hits, the next creature to attack the same one you did gets a +1 bonus on their roll. A little something something to remember you by.
15. Your next Ability Boost powers up your Strength Dexterity and Wisdom as well as your Constitution. You know the deal- you’re tough, you’re buff, you see through stuff.
You can also Pick up the Pace, helping your party hustle a little big longer than normal while traveling. This one doesn’t particularly map to anything, but it’s inoffensive enough to give you.
You also become a Master Spellcaster, giving you mastery with divine spell attacks and DCs, and you also become a legend in Diplomacy so your arrows can touch the hearts and minds of as many people as possible.
16. Your Domain Fluency gives you zeal’s advanced domain spell Zeal for Battle- as a reaction, you can give you and an ally advantage on your initiative rolls. You’re mostly used in the first wave anyway, making room for the other supports.
To support your live fast die young lifestyle, you can also Quick Swim, moving 5’ more on every success. It’s like quick climb, but for swimming!
Finally, it’s time to get a little tougher with the Sentinel Dedication. This makes you an expert with Medium and Heavy Armor. Arash doesn’t wear much, but he’s definitely got a chestplate on, so it could go either way.
17. Level 17 is pretty short, but it’s got some cool stuff. You can now survive the highest level of curse, Extreme Curse. When your curse becomes extreme, you’re Doomed 2, effectively cutting your death saves in half. On the plus side, you can reroll attacks, checks, and saves once every 10 minutes if you failed the first one, and you can regain 3 points per refocus. If you become overwhelmed now, the doomed condition sticks around like normal.
Your Greater Resolve makes you legendary with Will saves, and not only that, but you can’t critically fail any more, and all your will saves have half damage. You’re also a master at crafting. for really nice arrows, you know how it is.
18. Okay, it’s time to get your NP really working. You can now enter a Blaze of Revelation for up to a minute after becoming overwhelmed. Each turn, you can cast one revelation spell without spending focus points or taking any negative effects. I am pretty sure that technically includes the kickback from Debilitating Dichotomy, which is nice. Now you’re probably thinking how making an attack less suicidal helps us make a suicidal NP, and I get it, it’s pretty unintuitive. the reason it’s here is after the minute is up. You have a DC 40 fortitude save to make once it’s all said and done. If you critically succeed (that is to say you roll a 50) you’re come out unscathed. Anything less leaves you drained, and on a critical failure you outright die. Unfortunately your Fortitude is pretty good, but there’s still a chance of it killing you.
You’re also an Impeccable Crafter to make your arrow building critical successes, and you become an Armor Specialist for specialization effects on your medium and heavy armor.
19. At nineteenth level you become a Wilderness Spotter once you become an expert in Survival. Now you can use survival to roll initiative in Mountains and to notice and disarm traps nearby.
You also become a Legendary Spellcaster, and your Oracular Clarity gives you access to two tenth level spells, with one 10th level slot. If you don’t like the jury-rigged NP I made, you can just request a Miracle directly from your god. Tearing a new border into the world isn’t on the suggested list of options, but it does say your DM may allow some creativity in return for making the spell dangerous to use. Exactly what we’re after.
20. We’ve got the arrow, but we haven’t ended the war yet. That’s why you need Legendary Negotiation. you can spend 3 actions to request an enemy stop attacking. It might work, it might not, but if you’re tearing yourself apart for this I’d hope your DM gives it to you.
As a Mystery Conduit, you can now cast fifth level spells or lower without spending a spell slot if you increase effects of your curse. Now you’ve got a super easy way to charge up your curse and save on spell slots! Throw down some blazing fissures and get ready for the fireworks!
Finally, we need you to live long enough to die, so you can Sacrifice Armor to protect yourself. You scuff up your armor in the process, but you reduce the damage you take as well.
We also get one last Ability Boost in Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, and Charisma.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
Once you’re firing at all cylinders you can do some crazy damage, 27d6 every turn is nothing to sneeze at. All for the low low price of possibly killing you!
You also manage to be a great party face, with legendary diplomacy helping you win the hearts of large crowds almost instantly.
You’re also surprisingly hard to kill for anyone but yourself, with almost 300 HP and access to heavy armor plus the fact that you tend to stay in the backlines anyway.
Cons:
Your most powerful options are all tied to your curse, meaning that when you get serious, you’ll have a very short time limit to work with before you’re severely weakened or killed.
You also focus on archery and magic, both of which can be interrupted by melee fighters, and since you don’t have many movement options getting away from them can be an issue.
This is going to sound weird, but you’re actually too tough? Your death or glory attack comes in at level 17, at which point you already have a +27 on your Fortitude saves. That means you have roughly a 1/7 chance of dying with your noble phantasm, and it only gets worse the higher you level up. At level 20, only a natural 1 can kill you. I mean yeah it’s a straight upgrade, but it’s not Arash, you feel me? The problem is most people don’t want their character to die, so making a character that intentionally dies with their final attack is really hard. At least stopping that war will be easy.

He was home a day early… not that you were complaining. You hated the long trips away but they were few enough to be tolerable.
He didn’t have a chance to pull out his house keys before you had the door flying open. Tossing his coat to the couch, catching you in a tight squeeze as you bounced in his arms.
“My angel,” he purred with that wicked grin of his. “Can I at least take my shoes off before you pounce on me?”
“After being gone that long? I don’t think so,” you punctuated the answer with a series kisses over his face. “I missed you.”
“And I missed you… missed this,” he showered you with soft kisses until capturing your lips with the unrestrained fervor your tiger was known for, lifting you to straddle his waist. “I love kissing you, holding you, worshipping you like the goddess you are. Allow me to make up missed time?”
A giggle escaped as you card your fingers through his hair, smiling down at him. “You should know that answer by now.”

Where is he?
Shingen was supposed to be meeting her for lunch and then a movie afterward but was nowhere to be found in or around the plaza courtyard. Pulling out her phone, she was just about to ask where he was when she noticed the time.
Oh…
Shingen wasn’t late to meet her. She was early…
Over an hour early.
In her excitement to meet him, she must have misread the clock as she got ready for the day. What to do now? Walk around and look at the shops? She hadn’t gone far before the giant, green bookstore caught her eye and whiffs of fresh coffee lured her through its doors.

Where is she?
It was not like his goddess– who embodied ‘to be early is to be on time’– to be late. She kept her clocks set five minutes fast and still insisted on being at her destinations at least fifteen minutes before required lest she turn into a nervous wreck at the mere thought of being late.
And she wasn’t responding to his texts.
He spotted her after another lap around the cinema’s outdoor lobby. Across the plaza’s courtyard, her back faced the window as she turned a page in the book she was invested in.
Oh, this was an opportunity he couldn’t let pass.

She had just turned a new page when she felt a towering presence stop behind her. Instinctively taking a step forward, her initial start melted into joy as she took in the man before her. “Shin-”
She didn’t get a chance to finish his name as one arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her back to him while his free hand framed her jaw before his lips claimed her own.
Either he was teasing her or she was getting shorter when his grin hovered just where his lips brushed hers after the passionate greeting. She grinned back up at him, pushing to her toes to meet him again. A rumbling chuckle reverberated from his chest and through her knees as she lowered back to ground. Only then did she realize the hand under her elbow had hooked under her shirt hem and tugged upward.
“Really?!” She scolded as she pulled her shirt back down. Definitely teasing.
“I was going for your arm, but it slipped…oops.” His growing grin told her otherwise.
“Uh-huh, sure it did.” She stepped from his embrace to return the book to its shelf.
He pulled it from her grasp before it could settle in place. “You seemed to like this one. It made you late for once.”
“Figures. I misread the clock. I was an hour and a half early so I came for a stroll. Didn’t worry you too much, did I?”
“Nah,” He shrugged as he fully circled her in his arms, nuzzling her nose. “Just makes the reunion with my angel all the sweeter.”
Could she ever be mad at him when he speaks like that?
