The mlp episode Dragon Quest should’ve been about Spike becoming friends with the other dragons and learning that they are not as greedy and evil as the ponies made them out to be. And like. Rarity and Rainbow and Twilight still follow him and go “omg we’re gonna lose him 😢😢 ohh spike you’ve found your new family and we’re gonna miss you so bad..” and spike’s all “aww are you kidding these guys might be great but I’m still a pony at heart :)” and then it’s not a weird episode with vaguely racist undertones. “well, you’d not like THOSE dragons, you’re better becuz you’re civilized! like a pony!” ew ick ew. instead it’s a story about connecting with all of your roots and found family vs biological family and how you can still find an identity with both of those things and bla bla bla
