Like I’m sorry but that is literally their ESSENCE reincarnated into human form. Same souls. Same love. Same ridiculous little mannerisms. They found each other AGAIN. What more do you WANT FROM ME!!!!!!!!

Idk how bad Good Omens discourse is here but SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING OF GOOD OMENS,

While I understand that people feel like they didn’t actually get there happy ending I think that you are wrong, they could never be happy UNTILL they fixed the problems with the system and the solution was making the system go away, them included, they knew they loved each other in the end and they got to show it to each other. Dispite not having a kiss scene, AND that love was so powerful that they came back in every universe as the best versions of themselves BECAUSE of each other. People are like “this isn’t my Crowley and Aziraphale” yes it is, it’s them every time, because they met each other.

I've seen fans be extremely critical about the changes made to the show and I get it, but this finale cements why I can't agree. A lot of adaptations make unnecessary changes with no valuable reason behind them. They do it just to do it or because they think it hits a trend. But this show feels so obviously different. Every big change feels like it's being made for one of two reasons:

To fit within the constraints of a new medium that comes with a budget (ie the battle of Miami taking place at Camp Half-Blood, condensing certain story points to one location)

To build the characters further, to emphasize their traits and flaws, to make the story more complex (ie the Siren scene including Athena, Thalia being turned into a tree as punishment, giving us more Clarisse and Luke)

It feels like Rick Riordan is coming back to the story with all of the growth he's had since writing the first book and he's evolving the story to meet him and a modern audience as well as the book lovers. And he's also letting the show's team of writers pitch in ideas and using them to build the story into something more. That's how you should make adaptation changes.

Seriously, I get being upset about some changes but in the end this is RICKS project. I have my complaints about the show don’t get me wrong, but I think some of yall are cherry picking, and remembering the more serous and emotional moments of the books when they are still for young kids, ESPECIALLY the first two. And not to mention literally the son of Neptune starts with Percy being chased by monsters who won’t shut tf up about the deals and sales from there under cover store. Like the series has always been like that. And the Avatar live action is a good example of how anoyying something could be if you cut out all of the silly. Not to mention I don’t want a 1:1 because if it was why wouldn’t I just read the books, I want new angles, I want new ways the story progresses. Ok I needed to get all that off my chest
