DAY 1 : Can Healthy Catering Finally Beat the Bland Reputation?
Finally tried Healthy Go for the first time, and honestly, I'm impressed.
I've always heard people say that healthy catering is usually bland, repetitive, and sometimes feels more like a chore than an actual meal. That's probably why I kept putting off trying one. But this menu completely changed my mind.
Today's menu was Traditional Creamy Gulai Daging with Butterfly Pea Rice, Telur Balado, and Kerupuk Bawang.
First of all, the butterfly pea rice looked beautiful. The blue color made the meal look more premium and appetizing right away. It wasn't just pretty though, it paired really well with the gulai.
The biggest surprise for me was definitely the gulai daging. The beef was tender and packed with flavor. The sauce was rich, creamy, and full of spices, but it didn't feel overly heavy or greasy. It still had that comforting homemade gulai taste that you'd expect from a traditional Indonesian dish.
The telur balado was also really good. The sambal had a nice kick without being too spicy, and it complemented the gulai perfectly.
I also appreciated the vegetables and fresh cucumber on the side. They balanced out the richness of the main dishes and made the meal feel complete. And yes, the kerupuk bawang was a nice touch because every Indonesian meal feels better with a little crunch 😆
What impressed me the most is that nothing about this meal felt like "diet food." It was flavorful, satisfying, and actually something I looked forward to finishing.
Overall, this was a great first experince with Healthy Go. If all their menus are this good, I can see why this catering is recomended.
