The Big Three 6nen Series
Hello everyone! I’ve been wanting to make a compilation episodes of what I call the infamous “Big Three 6nen Series” of Nintama. Call it what you want, a trilogy, a trio series, but I will simplify it as the Big Three. It’s inspired by one of どっせいさん’s wonderful drawing here. (page 38)
The Big Three 6nen Series are the series which includes all six of 6nen casts plus the main trio (RanKiriShin) with an added bonus of Yamamura Kisanta. Season 16 was the start of it all. However it is divided into three parts which are:
1. The Genkin Series — 厳禁回
Genkin consists of 6nen Igumi Tachibana Senzou, 1nen Hagumi Yamamura Kisanta and 1nen Hagumi Fukutomi Shinbee. Usually in each episode, Senzou goes out for missions while others he does his own work but somehow he never fails to run into these two first-years and they always seem to test out Senzou’s patience. Ironically, Shinbee and Kisanta are both in the Tools Committee who are supposed to fix things and yet they, in every way manage to ruin things for Senzou, even though their only intention is to help their beloved Tachibana-senpai. (Poor Senzou…)
Episode List (in order starting season 16):
In the second Nintama Rantarou anime movie, Shinbee mentions in his sleeptalk to Senzou “Thank you for always helping us, Tachibana-senpai” and Rantarou said “always?” which I’d like to think is the reference to the Genkin series.
2. The Arbeit (Part-time Job) Series — アルバイト回
Arbeit consists of 6nen Igumi Shioe Monjirou, 6nen Rogumi Nanamatsu Koheita, 6nen Rogumi Nakazaike Chouji and 1nen Hagumi Settsuno Kirimaru. In each episode, the 6nen help Kirimaru with his part-time jobs but at the same time Kirimaru needs to keep an eye on them. It’s also funny because they are, as Kirimaru says “there’s something wrong with your Japanese”, the three people with memorable catchphrases. In other words the gin-ikedon-moso trio.

Not important but I’d like to point out that even though it is a short appearance, in the second Nintama Rantarou anime movie the three 6nen work together to catch Zattou. Which is a very cool scene if I say so myself.
3. The Roommates (Doushitsu) Series — 同室回
Doushitsu consists of 6nen Hagumi Kema Tomesaburou, 6nen Hagumi Zenpouji Isaku and 1nen Hagumi Inadera Rantarou. The doushitsu series is the only one that starts from season 19 because Tomesaburou and Isaku are not introduced as roommates until later on (please correct me if I’m wrong). They are also the latest 6nen to be introduced to the anime series, their first appearance is in season 16, which is also the start of Genkin and Arbeit Series.
The doushitsu series follows the adventures of Fuun Dai Maou– Great Devil King of Bad Luck (as Rantarou said in 22-06), Zenpouji Isaku doing his Health Committee work with Rantarou as well as trying to overcome his bad luck and his roommate Kema Tomesaburou helping them from time to time. In return, Tomesaburou often having to experience Isaku’s bad luck himself. In these episodes you’ll hear “sumanai, Tomesaburou” (sorry, Tomesaburou), “fuun” (bad luck) and “doushitsu dakara” (we’re roommates, aren’t we?) multiple times.
