AKB48 Shimazaki Haruka 2016âČs aspiration âA year of learning to be gentle to peopleâ
AKB48 Shimazaki Haruka (21) recently talked about her aspiration in 2016. Last year, there were chronic asthma and burnt leg which made her couldnât work in full power, however, she said that she had more time to reflect upon herself at the time. For Paruru, this year will be âA year of learning to be gentle to peopleâ.
ă"Last year was the year where a lot of things happened for the first time.â
ă She acted as the leading role for the first time in Ghost Theater (Gekijou Rei) that released in November and attended an International Film Festival for the first time. Also she visited Paris for the first time. Her first photobook âParUâ was also released. 1.500 female fans gathered at the launch event that took place at Fukuya Bookstore, Shinjuku Subnade, Tokyo, where she also had set historyâs highest record in the women only event at the bookstore. As the fashion leader in AKB48 Group, she is an important role in attract young womanâs supports
ă"If attracting the female fans can lead to the contribution to the group, I think itâs a very good thing.â
ă However, last year was a challenging year. Her chronic asthma got worsened, she was suspended from work in early August. Though she came back after that, she burned her left leg in Novemeber. Currently, her activities still continue while her live performances are limited. It led her to frustration day to day, but on the other hand, âIt might to be a blessing in disguise,â she thought.
ă âDuring the suspension, I was told, "You were more gentle to other people in the old days,â by my parents. Indeed, I used to be more considerate of other people and paid more attention to things around me. I think I have no room in my heart anymore. I want to get back to the way I was in around 2-3 years from now.â
ă She is known by her "salt reactionâ which became the buzzword because of her my-pace personality, but she originally was a caring girl with a strong sense of justice. Thatâs why, she sets âBack to basicsâ for this yearâs theme.
ă âI want to learn this year. I want to learn English and talk with the overseas movie directors. If I can speak English, it wonât be scary. There are super star like Justin Bieber who is the same age as me aboard.â
ăSince she canât be satisfied with only performances, she said that she is full of will for âstudyâ now.
ă âAfter that, I will learn native language too. Since I often read, I would like to read Akutagawa Ryunosuke or Murakami Harukiâs books without dictionary. Because I donât understand the words. Originally, I was a person who was able to learn it, but⊠Anyone, I want you to become my tutor!â
