Ā DŹÉŖį“.Ā
Ā Dim light shone through the crack in the curtains into the not-so-unfamiliar bedroom; staring back at the blanket of dust with layers upon layers carefully placed over the surrounding objects, walls, floors⦠It was aĀ home long forgotten, carefully secluded in the back of the teenagerās memories. With really only one question in mindā Why was heĀ here?Ā Of all places. Quite frankly, thinking back on events placed prior in..this..homeĀ left a sour taste in his mouth. Unwanted. Unnecessary. But thinking back even further to how he ended up in this location without his notice in the least was cause for alarm. Did someone bring him here?
Ā Suddenly, his thoughts shifted over to something more important to him than the confusing change of scenery,Ā Chaika. He diligently scanned the room for any trace of her presence; luckily enough for him, it did appear that someoneĀ had been in the room with him, the space on the bed beside him showing signs that it was previously in use, God knows where they ended up. Touching the cold spot let him know that whoever was there before hadnāt been there for quite awhile. He came to the conclusion that it was indeed her, which brought more comfort than he realized, only to be quickly filled in with more worry.Ā He turned his gaze back on the crack in the curtains. ⦠Afternoon? How long had he been asleep?Ā
Ā CŹį“į“į“ā;
Ā Turning his attention away from the window, without a word, he pulled himself up off the extraordinarily clean bed keeping his eyes locked on the opening door. Thankfully enough, it was his younger sibling. She looked to be out of breath, small traces of sweat following along the curve of her skin. Judging by the color of pink in her cheeks and other small bits of information he gathered, she probably had just came back inside from the outside. She went grocery shopping?Ā
Ā āChaika," he paused, going over his next choice of words carefully, "..how long was I asleep?" Maybe not carefully enough. He had other questions he hoped to move toward soon, but he had to start at some point. Though..she most likely had about the same amount of knowledge of when they showed up as he did. He wouldnāt bother with asking if she knew how they ended up here, the answer to that being obvious.
Ā Ā Ā Creativity and a rather wide mind that was filled with much imagination, that was the type that she was. Ah, but being placed in a new environment was something rather stressful for her. Which way was she supposed to adventure, where was she to go for certain items. She didn't think it would prove to be that difficult but she would have to hurry, hurry, hurry so that she made it home before dark. Constructing her mindset to where, if she didn't make it back home on time, her older brother would cry. The catch was, she knew that he would not cry. She really couldn't remember any tears to drop from his features, there was a rather strong facade thrown up before her at times.
Ā Ā Finding stands that sold various fruits was easy to come by, she saw one after the other and the fruit was plentiful. It looked rather tasty from what she would see in Kairos. They were more ripe and the texture that they held against her half gloved hands made the female just want to toy around at how smooth they were. But many vendors would request that she could even have one for free if she was that interested in them. It was just that, there was a difference of what she had in her hand and what she was normally use to. Just washing away and cutting the bad spots would allow her to feast upon the fruit but this one was as if there was nothing wrong.
Ā Ā Ā Passing by and asking for directions that would take her to a small and local shop that she was lucky enough to find. Alabaster locks that fluttered as the wind shifted by, only moments did it take her to buy the necessary items. Just a few packs of meat which held a bigger cost than per usual, and just a lot of vegetables. They were even handpicked by a few of the farmers who were selling their crops. Brown shopping bags in her hands in which she had to get home, that was the most important thing of all. So that meant; rushing. Going the way back home which she had slowly found her way to be lost was possibly the worst part of all of this. Holding the bags close to her and contemplating which way she should go, the female believed rushing head first into the bushes would bring her back home.
Ā Ā Ā It was indeed, a good idea. Maybe it would have been better to leave bread as a track to find her way back, but the animals would eat that, right? She wished there was an easier way to this, sticking her head up and looking around. There were a few eyes on her, possibly thinking they've seen weirder things but a young girl jumping at every eye that caught sight of her was something new. Denying their help and finding herself hidden back into the bushes once more. Now moving through greenery wasn't that hard and which felt like she's been running hours, but she was able to get to the end.
Ā Ā Ā With sticks and leaves of all sorts now in her locks of hair and finally grasping the door knob of her old and scary looking home, the door behind her was now shut when she was inside. The bags shaking in her grip from how scared and paranoid she was, each step was given a squeak and she didn't know if that was right. It was too early for ghosts and besides, the lights were shining through the dusty windows. They couldn't come out. Even though that had bothered her, she found her way towards a room at the end of the hall. A deep breath as she dropped the bags next to her feet, eyes wide as she noticed that he was finally awake. It took a bit, hadn't it. Even she lost track of time.
Ā Ā Ā A tilt of her head, she thought about his question and it ran over and over again in her mind. Brows raised to confirm she was looking for an answer, and generally as she spoke and confusion fell to a smile.Ā āHour..!ā Had it been an hour, she couldn't believe that for herself but she knew that he would be concerned if he slept too long depending on where they were. Pushing the door forward, hoping that the falsity in her voice couldn't be found. Even when she tried to think of answers of how long she slept, she couldn't remember her previous night. Besides, it was enough to bring pain to her each time and she recalled breaking out into tears when her head didn't stop hurting.
Ā Ā Ā And yet, when she told him that statement. Realization hits even harder, he was awake. He was finally awake. It wasn't an hour, nor was it two. But it felt like a very, very long time. How long has it been, why did she feel so much sadness and excitement run through her. A mix of emotions in a place she was unsure about but as her boots hit among the floor, the movement was steady but it had actually quickened. Her optics that took in the sight, she was thankful that the other was awake, from what she could remember when she awakened, that he was resting peacefully too. But who knew for how long? At one point, she didn't know if he would ever wake up. There were so many more important things that he would deal with, that he would endlessly spend his day wasting away that energy.
Ā Ā Ā This moment, it felt like ages to her. Having him awake, the fact that she literally ran into his body no matter if it probably hurt. Ā It was easy to tell that she had missed him. She had desperately waited for him to come back and she didn't suspect it the moment that she came back he would be back. Someone of her age, she would have thought it to be of an eternity but that wasn't it. Here he was, finally conscious to this world that was still unknown to her. It wasn't home but then again, it felt like something she had to take as home but somehow, in the end, she felt as if this place wasn't her belonging.
Ā Ā Ā ā.....!ā Finally, the arms that wrapped around his waist tightly, her face hiding in his chest. She held onto him tight, ah, maybe by now that hour statement did seem like a lie. The sweat on her forehead was now nothing more than a relief, she made sure that the other couldn't see her face.Ā āPlease... please.. stay awake.āĀ
