Whether you’re just starting out with #karate or if you are an experienced karate practitioner, you must have these five points right on point when you perform a #kata (1)#Kiai: Although you have this once or twice in the whole sequence, this plays a huge role in the impression that the referee will have on you. Make sure your voice comes out from your stomach and not using your throat (2)#Hikite: in the style of #shotokan, you Hikite must be perpendicular to your stomach and right beside your body. (3)Where to look: do not look down. Kata is A simplified version of an actual #fight. Therefore look straight into the opponent’s eye. (4)#Synchronization: Your Kiai, Hikite, the #attack/#block, straightening of the leg, etc has to be performed at the same time. (5)#Fist form: if there’s a gap inside of your fist that gap will hurt you. Make sure all of your finger joints are bent fully so that you can withstand the force. 🔥Follow @karate_in_tokyo for more! 🖥 Join our ONLINE PRIVATE CLASS through the link in our profile! 🥋Get 50% OFF of our Japanese @karate_in_tokyo_dogi (at Tokyo 東京, Japan) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3j28zMp0Iq/?igshid=ae84oxlnq0jz
