That fight with Argo solidified Sai Saici as my fav character tbh, because he looks easy to read as a character before that, but that episode showed that he will drive himself to success against all odds. Half of that ep was about Saici fooling around, with a fighting motivation being kinda shallow and not even driven by personal desire. He also overestimates his abilities while being a scaredy cat. Argo and Schwarz were sensible to treat him like he's wasting his energy.
The set up wanted me to believe he's going to lose and it's what he deserves.
And yet he doesn't. That fight ended in a draw with both fighters exhausted from matching each other; Saici against Argo's brute strength, and Argo against Saici's persistent craftiness.
Saici is silly in his everyday life, but he's dead serious about Gundam fights.

I laughed every time they had to group up to bully Domon. Saici already had red eyes by default so he just looked possessed when he smiles like a cartoon cat.
Domon and Saici have so many similarities 😊
Both are driven by goals pushed to them by circumstances surrounding their family. Saici is from a Buddhist background while Domon goes through stages of Buddhist enlightenment and imagery.
Saici also calls him Aniki, but I don't think Domon realizes that he's genuinely become a big bro like Kyouji 🥺
