A part of him feels bad for his reaction, but he doesn’t voice his words, too distracted. It was one of the more wimpy things about himself, the way he got whenever blood came into the equation. His senses were so easily screwed with these days, but it still didn’t stop him from feeling bad for being so easily overwhelmed.
So he takes a second, partially to let his stomach settle a little, and to get a feel for everything in the apartment. He knows that Jason is still a sleep, and they would hopefully have an hour or two before he really got up. After all, he always slept in on the weekends.
After a moment or two, he gets up from his spot on his bed, going to knock on the door of the bathroom. “Hey, I’m putting some clothes out here.” Something was up with Rory, but the mixture of blood and soaps from the bathroom was enough to mask anything he might be able to smell.
(Thinking about that was one of the weirdest things he’d ever done. Gross.)
So he decided to busy himself, heading to the kitchen to make food for (at least) the two of them. It seemed like the best way to apologize for being a complete jackass upon first seeing her.
The first few minutes in the shower aren’t overly productive, simply standing still without much movement. Soon enough, though, she realizes that it isn’t going to get her anywhere, and she actually starts to make an effort to clean off all of the blood.
Once she’s finally done she goes straight to the clothes he left out, her own clothes being left discarded on the bathroom floor. If she was in a better state of mind she would’ve at least tried to rinse out some of the blood, but the thought doesn’t even cross her mind.
She can smell the food before she even leaves his room, a benefit of the power she didn’t even know she had yet. It only takes a minute for her to get to the kitchen once she’s dressed, the girl hadn’t realized just how hungry she was until the smell of food hit her.
