When our young prodigies think of each other in private... Sneak peak of a scene from an upcoming chapter of my fanfic “Karmic Rewards” because work, paramedic school and writer’s block is making it difficult to get it together. But feedback has been great so far on fanfiction.net and AO3, thank you for the encouragement!

In the meantime, enjoy this piece! As a small hint to the context of this scene, you can bet that I headcanon Karmi has her own custom mini-Hiro toy. I mean she was able to mass produce Captain Cutie toys, I’m sure she’d make one special one for herself. Her fan girl energy is still there, just more discrete with Hiro for obvious reasons. And as for Hiro... well she broke him so there’s that lol.

i hope people don't think megan is boring :( i loved her arc and how hiro helped her see past that "normal" perspective. i thought it was nice that they both got new insight out of their friendship, and i really hope she's going to show up again and keep being a friend to the team. i'd love to see her meet karmi, too! and get rid of any idea that they're "rivals"

Sadly yes, some people see her as boring. I definitely don’t see her as such, that’s why I put it in quotation marks.

But yes! Megan brought some normality into Hiro’s life and Hiro brought some abnormality into her life. I love how these two balance each other out like that. And how she temporarily joined the team and even went against her own dad to help them.

I’d love it so much if Karmi and Megan get to meet! They’re both friends of Hiro now, so it would be a logical next step.

Friendly reminder that literally the entire “point” of Megan’s character is to be “plain” and “boring”.

The show makes it very clear that Megan is supposed to be the “normal” part of Hiro’s life. Something he missed out on as a kid genius who’s now also a superhero, always getting into weird situations. It’s not Megan’s fault if you don’t understand “the point” of her character.

Even as “the normal kid” Megan is still really interesting. Especially for a character who was only really present for half a season, I’d say she’s developed enough to stand on her own. She has her own quirks and personality that seperates her from the other characters.

I feel like media undervalues the importance of the “every day” character, so I’m honestly really thankful for Megan.

i vividly remember when small hiro one was released in another country and i watched the 480p episode in spanish because karmi was like. in 2 scenes. and i understand spanish and used it to my advantage. that's how dedicated i was.

imagine if the writers were trolling us and the guy Karmi likes now isn't actually Hiro but an old friend from her hometown or something, and then we have to watch Hiro pine and obsess over Karmi with unrequited feelings JUST LIKE KARMI DID OVER CAPTAIN CUTIE.

omg I've just come to the realization that Hiro was all like "idk why I would wanna kiss her" about Karmi in Write Turn Here and then BOI REALLY JUST WENT IN FOR A KISS THIS LAST EP oh how the turn tables

Lets also not forget way back in Issue 188 when Karmi said “You think I want people to know you have a crush on me” and “You got it bad for me, don’t you?”
