I guess this is kind of too close to Halloween Town Xigbar (I still love your The Shadow Babadook Burtonesque interpretation) but --
if he was a cryptid he'd be a jorts cryptid (as opposed to a tux cryptid) and I just wanted to know if you've mentally assigned Xigbar (or Lamia! or both!) a jorts cryptid.

🤔 trying to think of what would be a tux cryptid and what would be a jorts cryptid. honestly my first thought for what a "jorts cryptid" would be was just a super short fresno nightcrawler skjdhfkjshdfkhs. but in my mind itd actually be like...bigfoot, chupacabra, goatman, dogman. beasties. and a "tux cryptid" is something like a flatwoods monster or even a mothman, or mermaids, what have a little class to them.
my Burtbadowk halloween town!xigbar design is more of a tuxedo cryptid to me.....&i think i would probably see xigbar as a tux cryptid in general. like mothman isn't out here eating goats, he's got a job to do. he's portending and shit. xigbar would portend i think. if lamia were a cryptid he'd eat goats though. bad news for xigbar!
