New Media Art Museum Theses
1. A New Media Art museum should be exciting and attractive in a sense that it will allure interested spectators to the museum in order to understand more about this type of new age art and mediums.
2. It should be bold and expressive to reflect the kind of artwork it is displaying. Think of new media art as a teenager being expressive in a unique and loud way that you really can't see anywhere else.
3. The museum should have interactive capabilities that allow people to have opportunities to take part in whatever the artwork is trying to convey as well as arouse some type of intellectual stimulus as the activity is taking place.
4. Like good music, it should be able to immerse people in a state of euphoria that enables the to see a personal connection between themselves and the works.
5. The museum should also have a way of connecting the viewers to the creators by having some sort or virtual or new age biography. Although it doesn't matter who created the works, it gives a sense of reality that this type of artwork was created by someone.
6. A new media art museum should be accepting of all kinds of art that is interactive and innovative that evoke emotion and ideas.
7. It should have an interactive archive system that allows viewers to view older works that have been on display there and have it online on a site that allows viewers to share and embed into their own sites/blogs.
8. It should provide opportunities for young, aspiring underground artists to have a chance to display their works.
9. There should be special events that coincide with themes of what the artist was try to create. Such as if there were to be sometime to do with music and robots, have an event centered around those two ideas that pique a person's interest and allows them to understand what is going on with the particular gallery.
10. The museum should be limitless. Any type of new media art should be able to be put on display even if it's an idea that is unfamiliar and a bit eccentric.
