Yes, hi, I love Rise and it’s very underrated! I really want it to be renewed and I think more people should watch it!

Auli'i Cravalho (the voice of Moana) is in it and she is fantastic

Ellie Desautels is a non binary actor who plays a trans guy on prime time tv

Shannon Purser (yes, Barb from Stranger Things) is on the show

My actual queen Stephanie J. Block plays my boy Simon’s Catholic mother

There is a trans character, gay characters, a foster kid, and PoC characters in the main cast

One of the main characters has a sister with Down’s Syndrome

There are so many instances of fantastic representation

They put up short episodes about the characters with less time on the show onto YouTube so you can love them too

The straight couples aren’t annoying

The main teen couple is mixed race

It might be one of those shows that takes a couple episodes to get into for some people but I promise it’s worth it. It is an important show with an amazing cast that needs renewed.

one time eddie stays over at richies house and when they are gonna go to sleep (who sleeps at sleepover definitely not them) Richie gets up takes off his glasses and turns off the light and Eddie has to watch him heckin bolt back to his bed you know like we all do except maybe Richie trips but he gets back up and keeps running and pulls out his inner track star and flawlessly jumps into bed and it’s the dumbest thing eddies ever seen anyone do but he loves Richie too much to say anything

Richie was awoken by the slam of the front door. His eyes shooting open causing his dream to be ripped away harshly. Rolling his hips he looked at his charging phone, groaning at time. Too early for the first day of summer, not too early for his parents to bolt away from their son. Swallowing down his grogginess he found the strength to rise, a hiss coming from his lips as soon as his bare feet touched the hardwood floor. Ever so slowly he made his way downstairs, not bothering to even run a comb though his hair because, fuck it, who cared. There was a note left on the fridge, his mothers pristine handwriting sprawled across the yellow notepad. 

Went into town, won’t be back till late. New pool boy will be by, please don’t bother him while he works. Love, Mom.
