i think richie saw a future with eddie in the deadlights. he looked so in awe of eddie when he woke up, and not bc he realized eddie had saved him. earlier richie made it clear he already knew eddie was capable of that. nah, when he woke up from the deadlights he looked at eddie like he was seeing something new. he wasn’t afraid anymore after seeing what they could have. i think IT showed richie what a future with eddie could’ve been, bc IT knew that would break richie even more when eddie died.
