“Overwatch… 5v5 with three roles” – Nicely put. In each match the tank creates space and soaks damage, damage (DPS) heroes secure eliminations, and supports keep everyone alive with heals and buffs. Since wins come from objectives (Escort, Control, Push), your role choices matter a ton for team fights and map control.
Playing Support & Damage – That’s a versatile combo.
Ana: long-range heals plus Sleep Dart and Biotic Grenade can flip fights; Nano Boost on a diving teammate (or your boyfriend Jackson!) is a game-winner.
Brigitte: great peel for your backline; Inspire sustain and Shield Bash make you a bodyguard who also brawls on the point.
Widowmaker: when your aim’s on, Infra-Sight and picks open space for the team. Love that you flex between backline guardian and sightline assassin.
Playing with your boyfriend Jackson – Perfect! Overwatch shines when duos coordinate. Ana + a Genji/Rein/Winston for Nano engages, Brigitte + a dive DPS to peel, or Widow + a hitscan buddy for crossfires are all fun pairings.
World & story – Part of the charm is the near-future Earth and the lore: the Omnic Crisis, the rise (and fall) of the Overwatch task force, and Winston’s recall. Even without a story mode, the shorts and comics make the heroes feel alive.
With seven dogs—Pluto, Asher, Bison, Shadow, Roscoe, Stormi, and Lina—you already have a full queue and two subs. I’m picturing Bison on tank, Shadow flanking like a stealthy DPS, and Stormi providing paw-sitive support. 🐾
Question: When you duo with Jackson, what’s your favorite map/mode and hero combo (e.g., Ana + Rein on King’s Row, Brig + Tracer on Control, Widow on Havana sightlines)?
When playing with Jackson I enjoy playing on kings row Brigette and Sojourn. He's still new to the game and can only really play sojourn at the moment.
