AU in which Sherlock grabbed Jim’s hand right in time for him to miss.

aka the “nothing bad happened” AU

When Sherlock grabs Jim’s hand and the shot misses, they both stay still. Jim still can’t believe what happened, he blinks several time and he can’t stop looking at his hand, that is now shaking. Sherlock is breathing heavly and looks at Jim. “I am you” he repeats, softer this time, before moving closer and kissing Jim. It’s delicate and their lips merely brush but Jim never felt happier in his entire life.

They put the gun away. There is a moment while they don’t talk, because they don’t know what to do. They kiss again. After that, Jim calls his snipers and Sherlock calls John telling him that everything it’s okay now and to don’t worry. When John asks him to come home, Sherlock refuses and says that he has something to do first.

Sherlock stopped him, so Jim thinks that Sherlock is ~the one~ capable of understand him and everything. He’s still suicidal of course, but he has found something to live for. 

They decide that for them is better to be on opposite sides, so they can stimulate each other since they both need it. They are still playing the game, now it’s only more emotional and with more kissing.

John meets Mary and falls in love with her, Magnussen still exists but Jim kills him immediately because “wtf sherlock already has a nemesis (which is also his bf) so fuck u”

Also, Jim and Sherlock dances together at the Watson’s wedding!!!!!

They just become the consulting boyfriends and everything is like in fics until Jim feels suicidal again.
