“To Suga,
You’re always the cool guy, who pretends to be strong and also a joker, I really respect you a lot. For the showcase today, you’re in a condition where it’s almost impossible for you to stand on stage. However, for the fans to enjoy the showcase, you perform on this stage without showing any sign of weakness. Owing to that fact, I think you’re really amazing. If I were to possibly be in your shoes, I’m not convinced that I would be able to stand on stage. That is why you are Bangtan’s pride.
Suga, it’s fine to show off your weak side sometimes, the members would always be there to support you. In the future, let’s work hard together, for all the people that has cheered us on. Let’s make a legend, together with the members and fans. I believe that we can absolutely achieve that, since we are us after all. Lets work hard together till the end.
From Jin.” (x)

miscommunication as a plot device makes me angry
if you just talked to each other but no
on the one hand i agree with this but on the other hand one of my coworkers rented an alpaca from a petting zoo and brought it to work because my boss said she wanted an alpaca sweater but the guy didn’t hear her say sweater and didn’t want to upset her by asking why the fuck she’d want an alpaca
I think that highlights a good genre difference: miscommunication in drama is frustrating, overused, and just kinda shit. Miscommunication in comedy is fucking hilarious.

Grounding Techniques useful for trauma survivors
If you have experienced a trauma, you may experience traumatic symptoms. Grounding exercises can be so helpful in getting you back into your window of tolerance! When you’re out of your window you may experience flashbacks, panic attacks, dissociation, a numbness, foggy brain etc…
So here are a list of techniques! Please practice! If you can practice them whilst you are feeling ok and are in your window you are much more likely able to use them when you experience a trigger! It’s about trial and error with lots of practice! Wishing you lots of healing hugs and positive thoughts. Stephanie xx
Mental Grounding….
- Pick a category and try to think of as many objects as possible that fit in that category. (Eg. Types of dogs, cities, crayon colours, sports.) - Pick a letter & think of all the words that begin with that letter - Pick a colour & look for things of that colour in the room - Say or think the alphabet backwards or alternate letters & numbers (A1 B2 C3 D4.) - Describe an everyday event or process in great detail, listing all of the steps in order & as thoroughly as possible (e.g. How to cook a meal, how to get from your home to work or school, how to do your favourite dance.)
Reorientation Grounding Techniques…
- Say or think to yourself… ‘My name is…. I am safe right now. I am …. years old. I am currently at …. The date is…. If I need help, I am with …./ can call….. Everything is going to be alright’ - List reaffirming statements. (I am fine. Everything is going to be okay. I am strong. I can handle this.) - Ask yourself… Ask yourself where you are, what day of the week it is, what day of the month it is, what month it is, what year it is, what season it is, how old you are, who is the current political leader of your country.) - Name 5 things you see, 4 things you feel, 3 things you hear, 2 things you smell or taste & 1 thing you like about yourself. - Think about a fun time you had with someone recently or call them and ask them to talk about it with you.
Sensory Grounding Techniques…
- Run cool or warm (not too cold or hot!) water over your hands or take a cool or warm bath/shower. - Spritz your face (with eyes closed), neck, arms & hands with a fine water mist. - Spray yourself with your favourite perfume (One that is not linked in any way to trauma experienced or reminds you of a traumatic experience or person) and focus on the scent. - Feel the weight of your body in your chair or on the floor and the weight of your clothing on your skin. - Touch & hold objects around you. Compare the feel, weight, temperature, textures, colours & materials. - Keep a small object with you to touch or play with when you get triggered. - Bite into a lemon, orange or lime & notice the flavour, scent & texture or suck on a sour or minty candy or ice cube. - Listen to soothing or familiar music. If possible jump around and dance to it. - Pick up a book and read the first paragraph out loud. - Hug a tree or another person (If interpersonal touch isn’t a trigger). Pay attention to your own pressure and physical sensations of doing so. Register the smells of being outside, the wind & the sights around you.
Movement Grounding Techniques…
- Breath deeply & slowly & count your breaths - Grab tightly onto your chair or press your feet against the ground as firmly as you can - Rub your palms and clap your hands or wiggle your toes within your socks. Pay attention to physical sensations of doing so - Stretch out your arms or legs, roll your head on your neck, or clench and unclench your fists. - Stomp your feet, walk around, run, jump, ride a bike, do jumping jacks - While walking, notice each footstep & sat to yourself ‘right’ and ‘left’ to correspond with the foot currently moving - Squeeze a pillow, stuffed animal or ball - If you have a soft pet (dog or cat) brush its fur and stroke it. If you don’t, brush your own hair slowly and without pulling it too much - Write what ever comes to mind even if it’s nonsense. Try not to write about the negative thoughts or feelings until you are more capable of doing so without increasing a them - Pop bubble wrap or blow and pop actual bubbles - Dog in the dirt or garden, jump on a pile of leaves or splash around in puddles or mud - Rip up paper or stomp on aluminium cans to crush them
In case of a flashback…
- Tell yourself that you are having a flashback and are safe now - Remind yourself that the worst is over and you survived it. What you are feeling now is just a reminder of the trauma and does not fit the present moment - Breath deeply and slowly. Count your breaths and make sure that you’re getting enough air - Use the other Grounding Techniques above to distract and calm yourself - If possible or necessary, go somewhere where you can be alone or with a close friend, where you will feel safe, or where you feel protected or shielded - Be gentle to yourself and take the time to really recover. If what helps you to recover is to colour, take a bubble bath, hug a stuffed animal or watch a children’s movie and if it would not be disruptive to do such things at that point in time, embrace those options whole heartedly - If possible note or write down what triggered the flashback, what Techniques you tried to use to disrupt the flashback & what helped - Remember you are a survivor. You are strong, you can make it through this, though it might take some time. Be patient with yourself throughout the process of healing.
DO NOT DO THIS.
This makes me so angry.
If you work in a movie theater and you do this I have no respect for you.
My younger brother is Type 1 Diabetic.
When we go to a movie theater, we always get him diet soda. If he were to get regular when we asked for diet, we would not give him the insulin he would need for it. If that happens, his blood sugar level could go so high he could go into a coma, go blind, or even die.
If somebody gave him regular soda instead of diet without telling us, that person could be responsible for a nine-year-old being killed or blinded.
Just thinking about that makes me so angry. I get scared every time we take him to a movie in case the people working there saw this picture and decide to do the same thing.
Please signal boost this so people know.
This also applies to baristas
Fun story about the baristas doing this kind of shit.
I am very sensitive to lactose, not Lactose intolerant but because of stomach ulcers that are still healing. A couple years ago I went to Starbucks right after my classes with some friends and asked for a green tea latte with soy milk. The barista, for some reason out of malice and/or hate for her life so she took it out on me, gave me whole milk in my latte.
5 minutes after my first sip of latte, my stomach cramped BAD. Not the “Oh! time to poop!” kind of cramp but it felt like someone had stabbed me with a knife and twisted it. Now I’ve had this happen before so I knew the cause of it. I went up to the barista clutching my gut screaming at her that she put dairy in my latte rather than soy LIKE I REQUESTED. She denied it and called me a “pretentious white girl for wanting soy”and so my friends got the manager. I had to explain that I had stomach ulcers that were still healing and if I were to go to the hospital for this incident, they would be responsible for it.
Manager flipped his shit and the barista was terrified out of her mind. Pretty sure both thought i was gonna sue. Manager actually fired her on the spot because of the negligence. My friends managed to get me home in one piece while I stayed home for 3 days in absolute agony and missed my midterm.
So remember kiddies, if someone is asking for Diet or “Skinny” or “soy” or anything that is not regular, give them what they requested because it may not be them being healthy, but a dietary need that can possibly be life or death
also if they ARE trying to be healthy you should give it to them to!! Its not your decision to police or question others food choices!!!
also im lactose intolerant AND ive had stomach infections/ulcers so i feel this.
I have Celiac Disease, so I’m very gluten intolerant. When I go out to eat at restaurants a lot of people just assume that I asked for my food gluten free because of the gluten free diet fad (which is usually a bullshit diet btw).
Last month I went out to dinner with a friend at an italian restaurant that had a small gluten free menu. I had been there once before and had their gluten free pasta and it was great! I think one of the managers had been there and was super helpful when taking my order to make sure that everything was gluten free for me. When I ordered the gluten free pasta again this time though, the waitress who took my order all but rolled her eyes at me. I didn’t think much of it at the time, because the restaurant was so accommodating before, I just assumed it would be the same this time.
But sure enough, they brought out my pasta, I ate it, and about an hour later I had extreme stomach pains and was throwing up (in a movie theater no less).
Barfing and agonizing pain aside, eating gluten when you have celiac causes a lot of internal damage that’s hard to notice. The biggest thing is that it damages your intestines, preventing your body from absorbing nutrients properly, which can take months to heal.
So PLEASE, if you work at a restaurant or anything with food and someone asks for something a certain way, please listen to them and don’t just disregard someone’s order. It’s not funny and it can have serious consequences.
I will reblog this with every single story about someone getting sick because of an asshole giving them the opposite of what they ordered until it sinks in for everyone.
Recently on the news a 16 year old boy with a dairy allergy had gone to eat at IHOP with his family. The specifically asked if they could make dairy free pancakes and they said yes. Not too long after he had a reaction and was rushed to the hospital. This kid died because the was dairy in his pancakes that they asked for no dairy. His epi pen that his mother had wasn’t enough to help him. I know working in fast food or any job that’s serves food and beverage sucks but not as much as causing someone to get sick over negligence.
This is so painful to hear. It sickens me that people think they have the RIGHT to make these decisions for others?
Also btw Diet Coke and regular Coke taste different so if someone has diabetes or any other issue that could be triggered, I’d make sure (if possible) to have someone else who is with them drink the first few sips to test it, and if that person cannot be totally sure it’s diet, I’d go back out front and speak to a manager about the concerns and ask to get a new cup. Seriously, if someone’s LIFE is on the line, this shit matters. No one should have to jump through all these hoops just to get the drink they ordered, but because there are people out there who think serving regular Coke instead of Diet Coke is a JOKE, apparently this kind of thing is necessary.
I wish there was a way to tell gluten-free from gluten foods, and dairy from non-dairy products, too, so that it could be solved within the first bite (possibly by someone who doesn’t have any food-based intolerances) instead of when someone has to be rushed to a hospital…
Finally, a worthy heir to the distinguished legacy of None Pizza With Left Beef

THIS IS THE CUTEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN 😍😩
Cats Who Immediately Regretted Their Poor Life Choices.
In Finland, speeding tickets are calculated based on your income - causing some Finnish millionaires to pay fines of over $100,000. Source
This is what “equality” looks like in that liberal fairy tale land of Finland. They punish you proportionately to how successful you are. Sounds really “fair.”
Except… it is fair? Because it’s proportionate. I don’t get what’s difficult about that. An impoverished person paying $400 dollar fine isn’t the same as a millionaire paying the same amount. For the poor person, $400 dollars could mean starving. Would you really claim it would have the same consequence for a rich man? Would it even be noticeable to him, while the absence of food in their stomach would be glaring to a poorer man? Would it be fair for a man to starve for the same crime as a man that would be having a three course meal?
By taking income into account, it allows the impoverished able to still survive while paying any fines they may incur. And, ultimately, while $100,000 dollars would be noticeable to a millionaire, they would still get by. And, assuming the law is properly implemented, they would be paying the same equivalent of their yearly income that a poorer person would. That’s what makes it fair. They would be impacted the same way - but you are looking at the amount rather than the equation.
Also, it’s important to make sure that even the rich would pause at the cost of a fine. They need to fear the law just as a poor man does.
Oh no… rich people facing fines that might actually make them consider not doing illegal things because the punishments might actually hurt them… how unfair… -V
Finnish person here. Our speeding ticket system owns and only people who bitch about them are people who wanna break the laws - the loudest whiners are the rich people who think they can just pay their way out of trouble and that’s why we have laws like that.
400 dollar ticket.
Person making 10 dollars an hour: “Fuck, I better slow down”
Millionaire driving a Jaguar: “LOL 400 DOLLARS, FUCK THAT, NYOOM”
Compared to a proportional ticket.
Person making 10 dollars an hour and must pay 400 dollar ticket: “Fuck, I better slow down.”
Millionaire who must pay 100,000 dollar ticket: “Fuck, I better slow down.”
Like wtf. Some people have been so brainwashed by capitalism and worship of the rich that they literally can’t tell the difference between fairness and unfairness anymore.
It IS fair. The fact that it flies in the status quo so much should make you think about that status quo.
This is not only more fair but, more effective. Reminds me of wealthy celebrities (J-Lo, Tom Selleck) breaking water laws during the worst drought in California ever because they could care less about the hundred dollar fines.
Look at these birbs
