My partner in crime and I cosplay a lot and are attending more and more conventions each year and with our developing skill set are going to start participating in artist's allies soon! Here you can catch a glimpse at what we've been up to recently!

We're making soaps! At this point we're still figuring out colors, shapes, and scents (gotta make 'em nerdier!), but the formula is perfect! It's 100% natural and vegetarian, and works great on even the most sensitive and driest of skins!

Some new additions! Our brother has started painting again and these are his warm up pieces! How rad are they! He thinks he’ll eventually start doing scenes from games like Wow and LoZ. Cool, huh.

Older drawing from a special movie for us, La Muerte. She’s still in progress, as I can’t decide whether or not i want to color her. Eventually, I’ll ma e a decision.

In memoriam. Currently a work in progress, a piece to process my feelings. Both Carrie Fisher and Princess Leia had a great deal of influence on me since I was young. Peace out, space mom.

Made a couple of new flower crowns today! Really proud of how they turned out. Will have pictures soon that aren’t of the dog modeling them!

Got in the mood for painting! Minimalist Pocahontas piece. I’m considering doing more, but wouldn’t know where to start!

Love me some Steven! Both of these were really quick kinda warm-up sketches, and I just ended up liking Rose so much I colored her. I know sailor scout gems have been done to death, but I’m such a sucker for them!

I didn’t realize how bad the pictures looked! Sorry guys! Curently, my scanner is participating in some method of civil disobedience and has gone on strike, so I’ve been stuck using photos of our work and they didn’t look ~that~ bad until I uploaded them!

Cool pearlers that we’ve made! Fluttershy and Feraligatr are actually coasters that we use rather frequently and Majora’s Mask is large enough that it’s a wall decoration! Aren’t they super cool? Would y’all like to see any of these at conventions?

My inktober day 1 piece. A profile of lovelylor’s haunting clown character, Buttons. You know I have a wild hair up my ass about something when I fucking draw a clown. But I’m proud of it.

Hey!! A little cool tip! When getting body paint off use Zest body wash!!! It gets the body paint of like no ones business!!

Be careful with zest if you have sensitive skin. I know people who have very hardy skin and no allergies and are really allergic to zest soap of any kind! Sneaky test a little bit in the store before buying. Only you can know your body! Be careful!

DIY galaxy bottle I made last night. This is the third and biggest I've made and by far my favourite! Top has an eyepin for a ribbon or necklace chain and sealed with unscented wax. Pretty cool, huh?

My first cosplay contest at Pro-Con this weekend in College of Charleston campus. I won my class as my childhood dream, Anastasia! My lovely partner in crime @eaderbug (featured in his Dimitri cosplay) took the first three pictures and the one of us together was at Nashicon two weeks ago. I’ve never felt more confident and comfortable in my skin than in this cosplay! Don’t let anything stop you from pursuing any hobby you want because they don’t think you “look the part”. Buy a wig and some fake lashes and you’re halfway there!

Shutout to my mom who helped so much with this cosplay. She’s hella rad sometimes.

Hello world!

We are KatBug Studio and we are super excited to announce our existence! A little bit about us: We live in Charleston, South Carolina and travel mostly with in the state for our annual convention tour which includes: Banzaicon, Nashicon, Pro-Con, and (this year as our first) Valhallacon! We are planning on unveiling our art studio works at this year's Banzaicon! Until then, we will post status and cosplay updates as well as hints as to what will be in our booth!
