I feel like people don't understand what fetishization really means & it has a lot of well intentioned lefty types like afraid of being attracted to people
Like you're allowed to be attracted to marginalized people lol ... you're allowed actively think certain traits they have are beautiful. You can even think they're hot. This isn't inherently objectifying. As long as you're treating them like people it's fine. You don't have to like, pretend you don't know what somebody looks like lest your attraction be Problematic
Remember: sexual attraction in itself is morally neutral. And my crazy take is that if you're respectful about it it's actually cool and good to find beauty in different kinds of people & being horny about it doesn't negate that. Peace and love on planet earth
"I'm fem-presenting!" "My presentation is masculine!" "I present androginously!" well I forgot there was a presentation today and it's too late to put anything together
Your relationships will be richer if you also allow people to love you the way that they love, and not only in the way that you're used to perceiving love. You'll miss out on a lot if you're only looking for it in the same places you're used to giving it.
I love by problem solving, remembering small things that people like and make them happy--like little notes in the margins of our relationships, a silent squeeze on the arm to reach out and connect.
I have a friend who loves by asking if she can send me a recipe for Japanese egg and rice when she knows I'm having a bad time. I have a (cishet) friend who loves by messaging to tell me he's just finished reading He/She/They by Schuyler Bailar. I have a friend who loves by telling me "I love you" openly and as often as possible. Some love by telling you things they won't tell to another living person, some love by going six months without talking but answer in five minutes when you message them at work, and some love by not knowing how to show their love, but never leave you out in the cold when you ask for somewhere to go and a warm fire.
"Love languages" are largely bunk and were made up by a misogynist, but I can tell you that people do love differently and that it matters to learn how.
transgender? ohhhhh i get it now, life can be a gift
this book is worth more than a dozen restaurants that grow their own microgreens on the roof
ACCESSIBLE GARDENING FOR PEOPLE WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES
So important!
[“accessible gardening for people with physical disabilities: a guide to methods, tools and plants” by Janeen R. Adil]
Queer as in an "identity is fluid and descriptors can be imprecise so I prefer a more general term" sort of way but also queer in a "What are you, a cop?" sort of way.
I've said this before and I'll say it again: it's more important to know and understand fully why something is harmful than it is to drop everything deemed problematic. It's performative and does nothing. People wonder why nobody has critical thinking skills and this is part of it because no one knows how to simousltansly critique and consume media. You need to use discernment.
This is ultimately why propaganda is going to work on you. Because you never learned how to think for yourself and the actual ideology behind things. You simply rely on group think and the bare minimum explanations to tell you what's good and bad.
A lil risograph print for your lovers and friends and people you have big feelings about > get it here
Silly sketchbook doodle because I cannot stop thinking about this show I am in love
These are just my thoughts and feelings, this is not the same for all fat people! I am only representing my own experience. Also, I know fat is not a medical term & is defined differently across cultures & contexts.
thats not a “zine” that is an “art book” and you are scaring the hoes (discouraging people from zinemaking by associating it with hefty sleek professionalism instead of extremely diy no resources low cost artistic communication) by mixing up these words
