It felt like I spent a long time trying to play Fallout 3, but it turns out I only played 5 hours total.

Usually when it's around Mother's Day and Father's Day I'll get waiters and cashiers politely asking what I'm doing for the holiday or told to have a good x day. Which isn't a big deal since I have both my parents in my life, but I've been told to have a good Mother's Day when I've been out to lunch with my dad and brother, and why would you say that to what looks like a family of three with no mother present? What if she'd just passed away? Or why am I asked what we're doing for Father's Day when I'm grocery shopping with my mom? My mom's father passed away, and I don't live with my dad, so we weren't celebrating in our household. It's just really awkward, ya know? I get that they're just doing their job and being polite, and I wouldn't get mad at anyone over it, but it seems in poor taste to assume anything. Last Mother's Day my cousin who'd recently lost her baby was living with us, and it was a really hard time for her, and I can't help but wonder how many mothers and fathers who've lost children get well-wished and have to hide how devastated they are.
