i really enjoyed the field of dreams ending because from the perspective of someone who doesn't watch the show, the "I'm your dad!" "you're my dad! I'm your son!" scene looks really sweet, even some people who DO watch the show think its sweet. but it should make you feel bad for morty. rick should NOT be mortys dad. rick is an abusive drunk who uses morty as an experiment and gets him addicted to an alien parasite just so morty will become docile!! and MORE!! rick is the worst in the family to morty in so many ways. but morty still says he's ricks son because in reality he's just a scared and abused teenage boy who accepts the pretty much scraps of affection and all the attention he gets from rick because nobody else in his family cares. they neglect him and pay him no attention at all. he'd rather get the worst kind of attention then none at all.

i put in the tags of my last post that I wondered if morty has ever killed himself so im going to talk a bit about my thoughts..

if think about it, rick and morty go in dangerous adventures ALL the time and rick thinks morty is straight-up stupid (which he is far from). so realistically it wouldn't be hard to morty to pretend he accidentally died. in other words, it would be super easy for him to straight up kill himself.

if you think more about it though, he would come back every time because of project phoenix, so I wonder if he ever commits suicide on adventures as a form of self harm?? because the ultimate form of self harm would be to kill yourself. if he does, I wonder if he ever gets tired of it and wants something bigger. something more then death.
