Black and white photography can be very beneficial especially when you are presented with grey and low light levels to shoot in.This little stone fisherman's cottage at Mullion Cove is well photographed but I had wanted to capture it in a fresh way for quite some time. After capturing the building last year it looked so uninteresting and bland, partly because of low cloud and poor light levels. However, I was drawn to the lovely turquoise blue in the lobster cages and saw an opportunity to capitalise on this focal point. Using Lightroom I was able to convert everything apart from the lobster cages to black and white producing a far more atmospheric and interesting look. For more information about Mullion Cove please click here.
