In the fading hours between life and death, there is a figure who walks unseen.

He is my OC for a D&D campaign - a Shinigami warlock blessed with immortality. To him, mortals do not appear as flesh and blood. They bloom like flowers: radiant, delicate, already wilting at the edges. A woman laughing in the marketplace is a peony losing its petals. A child chasing a dog is a cluster of wild daisies, already browning at the stem.

He does not choose who fades next. He only watches. And when the time comes, he reaches out. Everything he touches crumbles into ash.

But the roses - those are the ones he will collect before dawn.

Happy Valentine's Day! Had this idea to draw our DnD party as dating sim characters. Who would you choose?

We always joke that our group is weirdly romantic, everyone’s got their own way of flirting.

Like, one time we helped Kynae break into a manor just so he could see the girl he was into. Turned into a whole mini heist. He tried to climb up the wall on a vine, botched his Athletics roll, and came crashing down with the plant. We literally had to cast Fly on him so he could float up to the balcony. And then it turned out the whole household knew he was coming - they’d turned off the security and said he could just knock on the front door whenever.

And Morax put on this whole lightning concert, like a Tesla coil show. Had to steal fence parts from a village to pull it off. Totally worth it.

Morax is a descendant of a scandalously famous bard who angered the thunder god Talos with his diss tracks. As a result, Morax falls into a state of madness when he tries to restrain the power of the storm.

During his first meeting with the party, he tried to sneak out some of the loot inside his boot but got caught. One scammer recognized another — that's how they became friends.

Now, he's come a long way in accepting himself and has become more honest and open.

If you have an art block or just making a concept of your character it's good to make a moodboard to check if everyting fits and seems authentic. Sometimes I'm making multiple moodboards for one character to see how my vision for them is changing with time. You should try it too!

This is my friend's @qyunian D&D character.

Our in-game meeting was hilarious: while my character was scamming people by selling fake holy water in a homemade robe of Lathander, Kynae literally crawled out of a grave with amnesia and regressed to a childlike state. Fortunately, my character really loves children (he grew up in an orphanage), so he decided to help without expecting anything in return. That's how they met, and six months later, they found out their mothers were best friends.

I couldn't miss the opportunity to draw this trend, especially when it suits this couple so much

Anhora and Castien met when she was a little girl - fierce, grumpy and blunt. The first thing she had ever told him was "I'm going to marry you when I grow up". He had no time to even say anything, she just said it and run away. And Anhora was stubborn enough to believe, that young paladin, her father's apprentice, would be her husband one day.

Unfortunately her dreams were broken as much as her young soft heart a few years after, when Castien got married to another woman. It was a good lesson to Anhora that not every dream come true.

But instead of crying her eyes out, she focused on the things she had full control of. Serving Helm and becoming a paladin, for instance. But deep down she preserved that feeling of devotion to a man she saw in the blossoming garden. The difference was she didn't believe in fairy tales no more.
