- How is this to end? - As stories must when love’s denied: with tears and a journey.

Oh, blessed blessed night…
This is not life, Will. It is a stolen season.

“You will never age for me, nor fade, nor die.”
-Shakespeare in Love (1998)
It’s a mystery
I will have poetry in my life. And adventure. And love. Love above all. No… not the artful postures of love, not playful and poetical games of love for the amusement of an evening, but love that… overthrows life. Unbiddable, ungovernable - like a riot in the heart, and nothing to be done, come ruin or rapture. Love - like there has never been in a play. – Shakespeare In Love (1998)
And I know that we are not two matching stories, that the covers of our books would not align and we would have no happily ever after, but you are that one sentence that stands out from the whole text, that one phrase everyone would highlight immediately and memorize by heart because it strikes something deep inside of you and expresses feelings in a way a million words would not be able to.

Sometimes things fall apart, either a life, a chance, a heart, sometimes what we love implodes, leading to an overload but remember that new flowers grow best on burned ground where ashes flow, and that an implosive supernova is the most beautiful state of a star, when all is going down and floating away remember so does water on its way to reach the never ending sea; the ocean of possibility.

The Prado Museum in Madrid launches an exhibition in which blind people can enjoy classical paintings by touching their texture and relief. We have never been given a chance to touch a painting in a museum, so this is definitely a unique experience – to be able to engage with replica pieces, including the Mona Lisa, through touch. The exhibition at Prado displays tactile versions of paintings by artists like Da Vinci and Goya. The paintings enable blind people to get a clearer vision of the artworks. The reliefs were created using a special technique called “Didu” that adds volume and texture to 2D art. The pioneering project will be in Madrid until the end of June.

“What is mastery? What would it be for you to recreate a masterful piece of art?”
Hikaru Miyakawa did just that and recreated Leonardo da Vinci’s "The Last Supper”. Hikaru is an internationally exhibiting Japanese artist based in the US. As Leonardo da Vinci, whom Hikaru has followed since he was ten, he is a man of multiple expressions: art, music (opera), acting, writing, dancing, and teaching to name a few. As a writer and researcher, Hikaru is currently writing books/articles on several subjects including among others: Leonardo da Vinci, Old and New Testaments through Hebrew and Aramaic, Parzival / Holy Grail, Subconsciousness / Dream.
Last year Hikaru gave a TEDxBoulder talk on his artistic path, relationship with Leonardo’s works and thoughts on mastery. Enjoy!
