there's probably a better way of wording the last part but like come on it doesn't matter if we're all the same to fascists
No I genuinely don't think there's any better wording of the last part

Literally the joke is on me. I was told to eat more calcium, which is in dairy (and also leafy greens) but now I am thinking that all my symptoms are just the return of my childhood milk allergy 😞
i love one goth mom
Being just sick enough is such a tough thing. I might just be in a bad flare or it might be an acute illness or it might be a new chronic illness or it might just be a new symptom. Doctors can run the basic tests but then everything is apparently normal but I am still in pain and losing weight unintentionally from GI symptoms. I have had several doctors ask me what I'd like them to do as if I know what to order, but then when I do research and have questions about weird things that wouldn't show up on the standard tests I am crazy.
I know it's lucky to not be taken seriously in some aspects, that it's bad when there's multiple medical providers in a room with you or that you're the first one taken back in the ER or you get your CT results a little too quickly. Having to wait in a healthcare setting is something I take as a good sign now.
It's fucked that sometimes I wish my illnesses would get bad enough, or just kill me. Maybe an autopsy would show what CTs and ultrasounds and MRIs and blood tests won't. Moreover I mostly wish my illnesses weren't chronic, I wish it would take an antibiotic, or a shot, or a pill and it would be over.
I grieve that I am no longer normal. That I can't handle heat, that movement makes me vomit, that I need access to a bathroom basically at all times. I want to be grateful though, that I still somehow work full time (productivity questionable) that I can move around, that I can clean myself up.
I am also incredibly privileged that I have access to doctors and healthcare and some diagnoses and that while they may think I am nutzo that they offer some space for me to advocate.
I don't know where I was going with this. I am dizzy and don't feel good (shocker) and I am probably dehydrated. I know I am one of the lucky chronically ill people but I also don't want to feel like shit anymore

Googled something about quick hydration and it suggested big jug of water, couple tbsp pickle juice, dash of lime juice.
Its surprisingly tasty????
Pleased to report that after a day of this i am not longer craving caper brine and my mouth is not dry as usual. There's some good suggestions in the notes too that I want to try.
-ancient roman posca: water, red or white wine vinegar, honey, salt, herbs (coriander, mint, thyme)
-switchel: water, ginger, vinegar, sweetener, lemon, salt
-ayran: yogurt, water, salt, mint
-Agua pepino: water, cucumbers, lime, sugar, optional mint.
I have been reminded of:
-shrub: vinegar, sida water, elderberry (or other berry), sugar.
I have now been informed of
-sekanjabin: honey, vinegar, mint, water.
"Wow, I wonder why this post was popular this week."
-sees the reports of the heatwave in Europe-
"... ah."
It's my 11 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳
Oh. My. God. ☠️
Conservative beauty standards are back with a vengeance which means it's especially important to go out this summer with bellies out and bodies unshaved. Also be unapologetically disabled with mobility aids and wearable medical devices and stim toys and ear defenders and all that stuff. You need it. People need to see it. Everyone needs to be reminded that life is unquestioningly more enjoyable when you're not living inside an arbitrary set of rules created by people who are offended by all the wrong things.

they should make it illegal to end your story with an epilogue where your main female character is suddenly randomly married and has children when she's never once expressed a desire for this previously

bringing a sort of "slavery is still alive and well in US prisons" vibe to the office Juneteenth post that my higher ups don't really like
From what I understand slavery was never actually abolished in the us. It is still legal and all.
the amendment that "ended" slavery specifically left permission for slave labor as punishment for convinced criminals and our inmates have been legally exploited ever since, yes
not a bummer, say it louder
