since i’ve started posting on here, i realized i should probably do an intro, so hi :3 im kat, im 20, and i dabble in a lotta stuff

when i stop and think about jily, i often find beauty in the fact that lily once hated james. like. going from despising this boy (because let’s face it, he wasn’t a man until he became kinder as a whole) because of how rude he is to severus, to losing severus to bigotry. this very likely devastated her, and though she had friends to fall back on, nothing could fill that.

in comes waltzing james, apologizing for being an ass, begging for forgiveness (likely for the thousandth time) and something finally clicked. lily didn’t fall in love with him then, of course not, but they became cordial at best. then they hung out in groups more and became friends. and, finally, they slowly fell in love, through glances, brushed fingertips, and late night chats by the fireplace.

at least, that’s how i picture it
