yuuri gets lifted a lot by other skaters. he’s small and often tries to hide during group photos at gala. no one is having any of this, so they just scoop him up in turns to make sure he shows up in the pictures.

so when viktor nikiforov lifts him during their exhibition in gpf 2016, it isn’t really a surprise for everyone. what does come as a little of surprise is when yuuri lifts viktor effortlessly three minutes into the program. what does come as the biggest surprise is when yuuri katsuki takes front and centre at the group photo this time, viktor in a bridal carry in his arms with heart-shaped smile twice as bright as when he won his fifth world medal last year.

viktor pretending to fall asleep on the floor in the most beautiful position he could think up with his titty out so he could eavesdrop on his crush talking about him before fake-sneezing himself awake is literally so relatable…..how embarrassing…….what a nerd………playboy viktor nikiforov, you say……….

adding on to this post i think there’s truth in viktor’s reputation but he’s not a playboy in the sense of pick-up lines and approaching strangers at bars. viktor radiates charisma and his smiles are for everyone and people follow him around the room with their eyes so all he has to do is wink and they come running. viktor never really has to try. and he’s not picky. he serves up viktor nikiforov™ and then moves on to the next person. before yuuri, viktor thinks he’s a cold-hearted fuck but later realises in hindsight that he was just extremely depressed.

by the time of the banquet viktor hasn’t pursued anyone or even so much as come on to anyone for a long time. then viktor meets yuuri and is so overwhelmed by YUURI that he arrives in hasetsu like DO YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON MINAKO DO YOU HAVE A LOVER ANY EX-LOVERS SHOW ME YOUR EROS YUURI and everybody and their mother is like viktor?? viktor??? slow down wow maybe chill out for 2 seconds jesus christ
