Travelling the world (and especially Toronto) with writer and editor Kat Tancock. Also drop by my silly cat Tumblr, Cats I have met while travelling.
Get email updates Email Address Buy my books! Why Diets Don’t Work is a criticism of conflicting dieting messages, but it’s also a story of health. Kat Tancock teaches readers why it's okay to let go of "fat guilt" and a deprivation mindset, and she shows them how to focus instead on choosing and controlling their environments and being aware of external and internal eating cues.

Finally made it to @rosensbuns and got to sample the Chrismukkah special (with egg nog glaze) alongside my regular cinnamon roll. Just saying, a pack of these would be a great host gift for any parties you might be attending. (at Rosen's Cinnamon Buns)
Montreal has many delicious chocolate shops, but the most charming has to be the third-generation Chocolats Andrée, where they are all still hand-dipped and prepped using seriously retro equipment. (at Chocolats Andrée)
Once a grand Royal Bank lobby, now a trendy café and coworking space. The best part, besides a Sunday afternoon tête-à-tête with @svetayasofiya? Sit down, open the website and order your food and drinks online for table service, rather than waiting online. #gomedia2016 #mtlmoments (at Crew Collective & Cafe Montreal)
Arrived in Alaska last night for a new-to-me travel conference, #atws2016 - the Adventure Travel World Summit. But before they shut us all up in conference rooms, we get to explore parts of this massive state, so I'm off to Homer today and then @stillpointlodge for some outdoor adventure and R&R. (at Anchorage, Alaska)
Lussier Hot Springs has been on my to-visit list for a long time. A natural hot spring that flows into rock pools someone thoughtfully filled with gravel, it's a bit sulfurous and exceedingly picturesque. A couple of the pools are cold so you can (and I did) do a hot-cold circuit worthy of any fancy spa. (at Lussier Hot Springs)
Our fantastic Penticton bike tour with @hoodooadventures started with a tunnel on the Kettle Valley Rail Trail and ended with tastings at the area's top distilleries and breweries. Oh, and pizza. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🚵🏼🍸🍻🍕 (at Hoodoo Adventure Company)
Went east of Yonge today (!) and couldn't resist stopping in at @ladiperie for a soft serve cone. I love that they serve a mini size (just $1 with no dip) and have a million dip and topping options to choose from. (at La Diperie)
Visited the new @greenhousejuice/@crownflora on Queen West this afternoon. Juice, smoothies and plants all in one place - what's not to love? (at Greenhouse Juice Co.)
