I wanted to do something simple so I redraw my character in my new art style and show the redesign of her now, it just funny of how Arte drastically changed from late 2022 early 2023 to 2024 and 2025
Origin (TW; gore, death, human experiments)
Back in 2022 - 23 Arte was named Arte, I was gonna use my real name, but I like to be anonymous with my real name so I used Inky for her name, this was also in the Era where I was in a huge hyper fixation on Resident Evil Village with the fantasy look? The characters designed and the lore also has fish I wanted to try making different AUs. fun fact; REV was actually my first time make a Sona that fits in the AU instead of having the same Sona in different AUs. But when I designed her she well, still look like an OC from my AU (Sunset Aquarius - Zodiac Oasis) with like trying to have colorful colors and animal parts and the outfit was just a sweater and pajama shorts, and she didn’t look infected? She just look like a fantasy less than infected plus she was gonna be jester themed as in her cloak post to look like a jester hat but it never happened, due to me art block and didn’t really have ideas. She also wore a muzzle and a straight jacket, but the problem was the lore doesn’t mention it. (Note; I forgot shes also a friend of Moreau cause he my favorite character)
Also the lore of her was everywhere? Like she was taken away when she was a child by a random guy, then he did human experiments on her and a random kid with animals parts and parasite, she then when got older murder the guy, consumed, his flesh, and then escape and randomly manage to get to Romania and manage to find the village. And she lives in Karl’s factory??? Don’t know how, and there was an incident where she saved K from a Vârcaloc attack yadayadayada..
As you can see her lore was mix since back in those era I was 17 and 18 I was still naive and didn’t know how the lore of Resident Evil is? So later on I stopped and took a break and was later fixated on Spooky Month thus causing me to get more creative and learn how to make lores, and creating my own creations. Also in the lore Arte was supposed to have a rose made of scrap metal made by Karl as a sign of troos (don’t know how to spell it help)
Later in 2024 I discovered Infection AUs mostly MLP ones, and I sparked my little hyper fixation again, and I wanted to give my REV sona a chance and have a fresh coat of paint. Usually I was think a human experiments as far from my POV they were shy, scared, hide and coward. Cause that’s what my 2022 me thought. But in redo, although yes she still gets scared, and anxious of getting caught, she’s now a easily angered, and very protective Italian lady, who’ll always protect the young’s and protect people like her from any harm, and the only friend Moreau.
I also did little more experiment on different body types, so instead of being chubby she now has a muscular mom body (RIP chubby Arte) and made her have some war scars since she battle loads of Lycan’s and Vârcaloc’s so I imagine her having some scars. I also made her hair shorter based on the Tomboyish side tails hairstyle since this takes place in like in an infected world. It would make sense if her hair was cut shorter to prevent any long hair in the way to escape from danger.
OH! Almost forgot I also solved the animal parts and the tail, since I’m working on the fungus the Caramellafiore and the interesting part is if the person gets bit by a infected animal the limbs would start to rot and mutate into specific animal part and would harden into this strong bark like skin. And the tail is actually a root that looks like a tail so there problem solve
For her clothes I made it simple but still have some aesthetic so I made her clothes look like shes from the south since she was raised by southern family and is a harder working farmer, so she wears a tank top sweater with a purple plaided button up shirt some storm shorts, leather gloves. I also gave her thigh high socks and light purple leg warmers and wooden sandals.
She also has this soldier traits on her design, like my papa’s military badge, and his military ring. I imagine that she takes honor of her family who were in the military even does salutes.
I just like putting little pieces of me, of what aesthetic or fashion I like, or what little things about me, like my grandparents being in the military in the day
So that’s basically it.. The only thing I kept but replace/change were, her eyes instead of the black sclera with a yellow iris I used owl eyes as referenced, I also replaced the metal rose to a pumpkin flower hair clip that her and Karl made up (I’m still working on that QwQ)
