This is my (Nanon, aka @the-named-anon) professional wrestling sideblog. (Sideblog username courtesy of my dad, a bigger wrestling fan than me)
Posts will be set on a queue for the most part, (whenever I set it up) and content in general on here will be determined on if I’m interested in professional wrestling at the moment or not. (Expect hiatuses)

When I don’t want names of things/characters to show up in tags, I tend to add a period after the first letter, or add an asterisk instead of a letter if I’m trying to censor it more. If this irritates you, I apologize!

Also!! I’d rather not know wrestlers political stances. I’m a very “separate the art from the artist” type of person (to a reasonable degree) and would rather not find out that one of my favs sucks in real life. (I’m aware about a couple of them, but I’d rather not find out about any more of them)

I’ve been a fan for over fifteen years! My interest has been off and on, with a major gap between 2016ish to 2024/2025, but I’ve been keeping up with the W.WE broadcasting since w.restlemania 42
I don’t have a DNI list (I’m tired of writing them) so I block freely, but if you’re curious what I might block for, so you can potentially block me, I’d block you if you support tr*mp or any of his ideals. <- It is not exclusive to that, but it’s a pretty big catch-all. I’m very pro-human rights.
I’ve also seen episodes(?)/matches from these promotions: N.XT (it’s been a while...), A.EW, Lucha U.nderground (rip), and M.ystery Wrestling! (I’ve seen exactly one match. A bunch of clips though). I’m always open to suggestions! <- adding on to this, I’ve seen a pay-per-view of A.AA as well!
I haven’t seen a lot of them, but I’m pretty confident when I say that I’m not a big fan of death/street matches. (The ones with the damaging props, a lot of intentional harm, etc) …I’m also not really a big fan of blading in matches. (There are a couple exceptions, but for the most part I don’t like them)
I need to redo the arrangement of my header image.. I’ve been slowly adding more wrestlers to it, but I haven’t updated it here, and since I want to reorganize it completely, I might as well wait to update it
(I want to sort the wrestlers a little better. By what? Idk, lmao)
I’m glad that Gunther lost the weight because he wanted to (at least, that’s what it seems like from his interview with Cody) he did say that “now (he’s) going to be on tv, so maybe (he) should lose weight” but it doesn’t seem like he’s doing it because someone’s in his ear saying he should

What a fantastic match!
I mean, I knew who was going to win as soon as the match was even announced, but writers can totally mess up the end match of a storyline.
This was wonderfully done, none of the spots seemed rushed or too close together.

There were a couple botches that I noticed but they recovered beautifully. I can't say it enough, just.

I mean, come on. Chad Gable obviously was going to lose. He needs to get back to being Chad Gable. He even had a zipper on the back of his mask instead of the string tie.
I kinda figured they were going to blade in the match, and I think them incorporating making it easier/safer to do via ripping the masks was genius.
The interference was spread out enough that it worked, and plot-wise it made sense (at least from the provided clips I’ve seen) …unlike some interference in wrestling 😒
I’m just so happy for Ludwig! He’s so popular now. Went from nearly being let go, to having murals made of him in cities. Thousands of fans being in his corner.
I mean, he learned Spanish for this. He took what was supposed to be a mockery of luchadores and spun it back to celebrating it. (At least, that’s what I see it as)
Chad was really making his head bleed at the end there… was his cut intentional or do you think it was an accident?
