I'm currently up to Dressrosa arc in One Piece and the one thing that is annoying me is how out of character Usopp is. We've already seen, during Fishman Island in particular, that he's not as much of a chicken anymore but now they have him acting like he did pre-timeskip. Some fear would be understandable but this level just make him seem like he's reverted to who he was before the training. Him just hiding in the shadows while the Tontata's are wiped out just doesn't make sense for the character development he's had. Ugh. I love Usopp (he's one of my favs) but it's so stupid. Sorry for the random vent 😅

So I'm a little confused?

I started watching One Piece (the anime, though I did watch and enjoy the live action) and I'm loving it. Just got to the start of Sky Island. Anyway, I've never read manga before but I thought I'd give it a go with One Piece as an intro. I downloaded the Manga Plus app because I saw that you can read from the beginning for free on there.

Now here's my confusion: I just got to reading the part where Alvida is introduced and it says 'Roronoa Zolo'? I know that they called him that in the 4kids version and that there was a translation error in the manga but apparently it was fixed. So if that's the case, how come it says Zolo in the Manga Plus app? Are the versions on there old? I should mention I'm reading it in English as I can't read Japanese. Just a bit confused what's going on and it's a little distracting as he's Zoro to me already.

I noticed this too. It seemed pretty obvious that he was pushing 'Wednesday' out of the way to lock 'Enid' in. He's such a mess of longing and confusion.

I’ve not “scene” this before - I found a few behind-the-scenes pictures from Face the Raven that I have never seen before and I thought I’d share them with everyone. The first few show Clara bravely walking to her death and collapsing in front of the Doctor. In the last picture, both the angle of the shot and the look on Peter’s face suggests that this may have been from a deleted scene.

So, I went back to re-read Sarah Dollard’s “purple” script to Trap Street (the episode Steven Moffat would later re-title Face the Raven). The set direction in this preliminary script has the Doctor looking on helplessly at Clara’s lifeless body, He is stricken. Apparently, Twelve was to then have picked up Clara’s body and carried her into an infirmary. Here’s the un-filmed scene:

I really wish that this scene had been filmed. It gives Twelve at least a little time to acknowledge that Clara has died and to make sure that Rigsy will take care of her and inform her family and friends. But, any way you look at it, this episode was gut-wrenchingly sad.
