“don’t settle if you aren’t satisfied” is probably one of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever received. ever.
self care is so damn difficult when you… don’t… care… about your own self
wow, thank you for this, @i-live-in-the-artisan-realm
This post is uncomfortable to write.. It’s me being vulnerable and telling you things I’ve only admit to few. I’m becoming more and more open about it because I think it’s important to talk about. . I have anxiety. It comes on at random times. I don’t like being in big crowds. I get quiet around people I don’t know. Sometimes being in stores is hard. My heart races. It feels like it’s hard to breathe. The most frustrating part of it is that I know it’s irrational. I know I’m not in any real danger but it sneaks up all the same. . The one thing I can do to slightly control this is workout. It’s my stress reliever. The more stressed I am, the more anxious I get. Working out helps me work off some of that and keeps me in a good head space. I also love to color, listen to music, and clean my house. . As much as it might come as a shock to some that I deal with all of this. I think it’s really important to talk about it and let you know you’re not alone if it’s something you’re dealing with too. . #stressrelief #anxietysucks #dealingwithanxiety #anxietyawareness #copingmechanisms #liftheavy #workitout #dowhatworksforyou #yourenotinthisalone
Try to keep your body clean. With food. With thoughts. With energy. Everything adds up into one, contributing to your inner purity. Do not neglect yourself, for both you and your body deserve the utmost respect and care.

You can always start again. Clean out your social media. Create a new account for your new taste in music. Study or work in a new city. Start socialising with new people. Choose a new signature scent and style and purge the outdated parts of yourself. If you don’t like where you’re at, but you don’t know what to do about it - try starting again.
“What they don’t tell you about recovery: There will be days when you do not want to recover. On those days, you will lie in bed longer than is necessary in the morning, and you will think about how good it would feel to pretend you’re sick that day- or should I say, pretend you’re physically sick. How good it would feel to cancel your plans, be absent from school, and do absolutely nothing all day other than wallow in the murky pit of the illness you have been trying for so long to leave behind. They say taking a mental health day is good, sure, but this is not a day to recover. This is a day to relapse. On those days when you do not want to recover, the comforting hand of your illness will come up beside you and pat you on the shoulder and remind you of how much easier it was when you just gave in. When you submitted to the chains being wrapped around your body, constricting your lungs and rubbing your wrists raw. When you closed your bedroom door and did not come out except to go to the bathroom and even then each step down the hallway felt like bullets piercing through your skin. They will not tell you how hard it is. They will not tell you how hard you must fight, how much strength you must possess, how you must have a will that is tough as steel because desire alone is not enough. Everyone wants to recover, sure. Everyone envies the people who were born with brains that were not trying to kill them. But the hard, hard, truth is that not everyone really has the grit to try, and try again, and try again, and try again, and yes- try again. Try again even when you have fallen so many times that your body hitting the floor sounds like a broken record. Try again even when you are so tired the ground feels like a feather filled mattress and the part of your brain that is trying to kill you whispers that this is a good place to take a nap. Try again. Try again. Try again because okay, maybe it’s true, maybe you will never stop falling, but in order to fall you must have been standing up to begin with, and even if you only have one good day a week it is worth getting up for that one day. Here’s something they always tell you about recovery, but is no less true: it is worth it.”

“They say knowledge is power, but that’s not entirely true. Knowledge is power only when acted upon. So no matter how many courses you take, books you read, or inspiring quotes you save, you will never begin to change until you start trying sh*t out. The secret to personal growth is being willing to be wrong about your own limitations.”
