20 years ago today Elastica- s/t was released on March 14, 1995. To this very day the Elastica self titled album is a prime example of the perfect rock record. It's raw, catchy, simple, enchanting, sexual, and carries tons of pop sensibilities played with a very energetic punk rock energy. Every single member of Elastica also carried their own specific charm within their playing and personalities that made their roles in the band very memorable. This record influenced me a lot with how I layed down the drums on "Die On Stage" as far as keeping things simple yet very remarkable and lively. So wheter you've had this record since "Stutter" debuted on 120 Minutes, or if you've never heard it before, blast this masterpiece fucking loud today and every day! #elastica

Hostage Calm will live on for eternity! The time I spent with these four outstanding individuals will be with me for the rest of my life. This era was the first time I actually felt like my presence mattered in a band, and each member of Hostage Calm truly expressed their appreciation towards me. I learned so much from everyone in Hostage Calm. We created an incredible record that will be passed on for many years and generations to come. We played many unforgettable shows that will forever be remembered by us and the lovely people who risked their vocal chords, ear cells, and bodies for us. We made so many incredible bonds and connections all over the world with the most beautiful people in existence through playing our music. And we always had an incredible amount of laughs at the most absurd shit around us. I am going to miss playing music with my friends in this band so much, and I love every single one of them forever! Live Forever, Die On Stage!
