Can you believe
I love him aaa my ridiculous friend got me into The Flash and I am in love like I haven’t been since Glee. RIP me.
Before we shout “no more man movies!” after seeing Wonder Woman, don’t forget men of color don’t have a lot of representation either. So supporting Aquaman, Black Pather, Cyborg, and Miles Morales movies does not make you less feminist.
White feminism always forget about men of color and even women of color.

Gah, I have a person in mind, and I just want to rant about them. They are such a wonderful person, I am in awe. I met them during my freshman year of college, and they were the first person I talked to about maybe kinda somewhat sorta being bisexual (I really didn’t want to be bisexual for a while).
They were so supportive and helpful and they’re such a kind person and it is such a damn shame because our school is being a jerk to them. The school doesn’t like how outspoken they are. The school targeted them because they’re a loud voice at protests against all kinds of -phobias and -isms. They are unapologetically who they are, and it has been an honor to know them. I am beyond disappointed that they won’t be returning to my school, but I know they’re going to do absolutely wonderful things wherever they go. <3
I doubt they’ll ever see this, but I’m posting it anyway.
so it turns out Hillary Clinton literally used slaves but theres still losers on here who call her a #woke feminist or some shit
fucked up
Here’s a source
“ Clinton was, however, generous enough to allow inmates from Arkansas prisons to work as unpaid servants in the Governor’s Mansion. In It Takes a Village, Hillary Clinton writes that the residence was staffed with “African-American men in their thirties,” since “using prison labor at the governor’s mansion was a longstanding tradition, which kept down costs.” It is unclear just how longstanding the tradition of having chained black laborers brought to work as maids and gardeners had been. But one has no doubt that as the white residents of a mansion staffed with unpaid blacks, the Clintons were continuing a certain historic Southern practice. (Hillary Clinton did note, however, that she and Bill were sure not to show undue lenience to the sla…servants, writing that “[w]e enforced rules strictly and sent back to prison any inmate who broke a rule.” ”
They were literally black slaves…
Jesus fuck
And now I know why Donald Trump won.
This isn’t why. Believe me.

I haven’t done tumblr in awhile. I’ve missed this show. What has college done to me?
No but can you imagine Brian as a long distance runner? oh la la
Okay but WHAT ABOUT Brian deciding he’s going to take up running to distract himself when Justin first moves to NYC? That would give us –
Justin encouraging Brian and going into Dr. Taylor mode, telling him about how running boosts your mood, strengthens your knees, is associated with lower risks of cancer, improves cardiac health, improves your vision, aids bone health, leads to longer lifespans, and reduces the risk of erectile dysfunction. To which Brian reminds him he’s doing it to look good.
Justin calling Brian a week later to ask how the running’s going, and Brian going on about how he just made the perfect playlist and bought a pair of sneakers that cost $300 and a fancy pedometer and some moisture-wicking shirts and… “Yes, Brian, but have you started running?” “…you can’t just start running, Justin, you have to prepare.”
Brian deciding he’ll start with an easy ten-mile run and experiencing severe regret halfway through and then casually walking the rest of the way home like he totally meant to just go on a casual stroll in his $300 sneakers and moisture-wicking shirt and fancy pedometer and he’s sweating because it’s hot.
Brian going home to research how he actually should begin running and getting interrupted by Justin calling, and contemplating if he can bribe Justin to come home to give him a leg massage.
Brian getting serious and making another trip out to the health store to make sure he’s up on all his vitamins and protein shakes, then actually starting off nice and easy.
Brian beginning to really love running. He still likes going to the gym for the social aspect, but he begins to relish getting a workout in and being able to be alone with just his thoughts… and those thoughts are often centered around Justin.
Brian realizing he can go longer distances if he imagines Justin waiting for him at the end, just like he was at the Liberty Ride, and then getting in the habit of calling Justin at the end of each of his runs. Justin often teases him that when he calls him this out of breath he can never tell if he just finished running or just finished fucking, but it’s actually pretty obvious: Brian sounds happier when he’s coming off a run.
Brian going on his longest run yet, feeling like he’s about to pass out, when he sees a familiar blond-haired figure waiting right outside his building. He manages to run faster and kisses Justin so hard he nearly blacks out.
Justin commenting that he knows Brian bought the fancy clothes, but he always envisioned Brian running shirtless.
Brian then running shirtless from there on out, until Dr. Taylor has to step in again and remind him Pittsburgh gets fucking cold in the winter and he’s not going to impress anyone if he gets hypothermia and his nipples freeze off.
Brian deciding he’s going to train for a marathon, and Justin saying he’s really impressed with his dedication but doesn’t he think a marathon is a little ambitious when he’s only been seriously running for a year? And Brian only smiling and saying, “Come on, Sunshine. How else am I going to be ready to run all the way to New York for you?” ♥♥
Okay, but Britin.

In the context of this universe, yes, he needs to be wary to an extent. It sucks, sure, but he can’t be openly and easily trusting of everyone when that person may be after him or his pack. He shows some signs of that when he doesn’t immediately have Theo join the pack, but it’s rendered moot rather quickly when he immediately trusts him with everything. It’s against his nature, I get that, but he has to balance his instinctive nature with knowledge. After everything he’s been through, he should have learned that you can’t rely on appearances and instinct alone. As for Stiles, he was right that something was wrong with Lydia, just not what it was. In general what my point is, is not that Stiles is right about a person, but he’s right when something is off and needs looking into. Yes, he’s overly suspicious, but it balances Scott– if Scott would listen. They need to be a team. Stiles couldn’t find anything on his own, no, but maybe with Scott by his side they would have. Together they work best. Even if Stiles was wrong, Scott should have heard him out more. And Stiles should have kept at it and kept at Scott, explaining his wariness more clearly. It’s a matter of perception and I don’t think we’re going to agree. It’s fine, and I’m glad you like Scott. I just can’t. I put myself into this world, into his shoes or one of the others’, and I can’t find myself following him. He’s still oddly naïve after everything, and if it wasn’t for the writers pulling out deus ex machinas, he’d be dead. I get that he’s young and learning, that he’s going to fuck up, but the problem is that he doesn’t learn. Derek didn’t learn, either, and look how that went. He has had character development, but it’s uneven at best, and status quo at worst. I just don’t get what the writers are doing with him.

I just am still confused with the sheer number of times Stiles has been wrong about a person that you think Scott should blindly trust Stiles instead of Stiles trusting Scott. For example, he thought something was wrong with Derek, but Derek turned out to be one of Scott’s greatest allies. He thought that Deaton was both the alpha and the Darach, but Deaton has always been there to support them. He thought that something was wrong with Kira and that wasn’t true. He thought something was wrong with Lydia to lead her to being the Darach, and that wasn’t true. He thought there was something wrong with Liam, and that wasn’t true. He thought there was something wrong with Isaac long after he left Derek’s tragedy pack, but Isaac turned out to be one of Scott’s best friends. He thought there was something wrong with Allison and Allison was a hero. Honestly, besides maybe Matt, I don’t think Stiles has been write about anyone or right about any of his feelings that something was off about someone.
And Scott doesn’t trust everyone? He never trusted Peter, he didn’t trust Derek until Derek proved he could be trustworthy, he didn’t trust the alpha twins even when they switched sides, he didn’t trust Kate, he didn’t trust when Noshiko said the Nogitsune couldn’t be stopped without killing Stiles, and he didn’t trust Theo until Theo proved himself. There was even a whole conversation with Deaton where Scott was worried about someone joining his pack as a beta trying to steal his power. If someone you know is kind to you, kind and supportive to your friends, and consistently saving your life…why would you be suspicious of them. It wasn’t easy, that’s why it took Theo all season to get Scott to trust him. In this season alone, Scott didn’t trust Kira or Stiles. So it’s a little strange to me that you’re arguing that Scott ALWAYS trusts everyone and is NAIVE because he trusts everyone, and yet at the exact same time, blaming him because he DIDN’T trust Stiles. So, does he trust or does he not trust? How can you be angry at him for two things at once that both can’t possibly be true?
It seems to me like you’re expecting this 17 year old broken abuse victim and child to somehow have all the answers, like he’s solely responsible for everyone’s well-being. You do remember Scott’s a kid, right? He’s learned and grown since S1 and if you think the alpha in S5 is the same person as the naive, terrified, overwhelmed boy in S1, then I don’t know what show you’ve been watching. :/ In fact, the one person who hasn’t changed is Stiles! He’s been just as suspicious, violent, and wrong about people in S1 as he was in S5.
Here’s my main thought about this. You have a really significant double standard when you write about these characters. Scott is supposed to always trust Stiles without question, without taking into account that Stiles has always been wrong, and if he doesn’t, he’s stupid. But you never even think about the fact that Stiles should trust Scott. Why is Scott required to obey every single “bad feeling” Stiles has, but you’re not requiring Stiles to be the same kind of friend? Especially when you talk so much about balance! Why is it not okay for Scott to think Stiles is wrong about Theo, but it’s okay for Stiles to think Scott is wrong about Derek, Liam, Kira, Allison, Deaton, Isaac, Cora, etc. etc. etc? Why is it not okay for Scott to trust someone who was kind to him and even injured in fights to save his friends, but it’s okay for Stiles to trust Theo with all of his secrets and not to trust Scott enough to tell him the truth about what happened to Donovan for weeks and weeks. Why does Scott have to always listen to Stiles without questioning him, but you don’t believe Stiles has to always listen to Scott without questioning? (Remember, this is especially important since Stiles has canonly always been wrong about people). Friendships don’t work that way. Not in real life and not in the canon of the show.
Do you see how you’re holding them to two different standards? I think you should maybe think about why you’re so quick to condemn Scott for things you praise in Stiles. :/ There might be a reason behind why you think like that.
I agree, there is a total double standard in this fandom that is perpetuated by so many people where Stiles can do no wrong, and Scott is always blamed even when he’s the victim. It’s one thing to call Scott naive, but actually he’s had to deal with a lot to get to the point where he is. He didn’t become a true alpha because he’s naive. He became a true alpha because he rose from all of the adversity placed against him and got his power without killing anyone. That’s not naivety, that’s some pretty strong moral fiber. There’s a total difference, and I hope this logic will help you realize that Scott McCall is a likable character, and there’s a reason (many reasons actually) that the members of the Scott McCall Defense Squad exists. We may be small compared to the people constantly defending Stiles, and Stiles isn’t an all bad character, but there are so many situations where Scott gets the blame where he shouldn’t. So naturally we’re going to point that out.
