perfume: if you could make your own signature fragrance, what would it smell like?

“It’s so funny, but I’ve actually put a lot of thought into this in the past. Passion fruit and red currant would be the top notes. The middle notes would be lily, jasmine, and violet. And then, for the base notes, it’d be cedar, apple, and musk.”

“if i’m not at work, i actually don’t. at work i’m a different person - i make small talk and am really friendly and love talking about my desserts. anywhere else.. i’d rather be left alone unless i know you, honestly. i mean, sometimes, i am up for it.. but i’m actually pretty shy.”

“i have a little kitten, his name is vigo. he has pure white fur and he meows really loud when i get home. i wake up every morning to him jumping onto my bed and making biscuits with his paws on my stomach until i get up to feed him. he’s a sweetie.”

“I’d probably choose summer. i’m an autumn baby but i’d be okay with never having another birthday if that meant summer skies and swimming pools.”

“it depends on what i’m drinking! if it’s wine, then i’m the saddest drunk ever. from the moment it hits me, i’m crying. anything else - i’m happy and affectionate... unless it’s tequila, which is what makes me get a little wild.”

“I don’t honestly know if I would want to. If I had to trade lives with someone, I’d probably trade with Holly because I’d like to spend a day with having hair as pretty as hers. But, as boring as my life is, I like it. I’m working on getting to where I need to be and there’s nothing I’d really change.”

Favorite memory?

“I don’t think that what is supposed to be my favorite memory has happened yet - my life has – and yes, this sounds really sad – been pretty lackluster so far. But, if I had to pick one that I enjoy the most right now, it would probably be the day I moved out of my mother’s house. It was a really… liberating experience.”

do you have a secret talent?

      “It’s actually really funny, but I have a couple. A lot of people don’t really remember, but I was a CHEERLEADER in high school and am pretty skilled in gymnastics. I also am good at throwing knives and twirling them - you learn weird stuff when your dad takes you camping, and I had to keep learning it because people always look so surprised when they find out I can do that.”

Who is your biggest inspiration?

       It depends on what regards we’re talking about. My dad was who I always wanted to make proud, which inspired me - but as for cooking inspiration, I have to hand it to Alex Guarnaschelli, Maneet Chauhan, and Antonia Lofaso. As for art, which is my favorite thing in the world - Rupi Kaur, Stella Maria Baer, and Van Gogh are big inspirations for me.

      “He’s.... cool, I guess? If I’m being entirely candid, he’s good in bed but that’s about it. I don’t have a lot of thoughts about him, you know? I don’t know his personality that well and I definitely don’t have a crush on him.”

It was fun–the typically put together breath of fresh air coming undone at his request, it was amusing. “you do too in fact–and last time I checked–you enjoy it” bit his lip, before standing up on his knees on the bed, wrapping his arms around the girls waste as she attempted to cloth herself. 

      “really?” her voice went up almost a whole octave, sounding rather skeptical that her idea of ‘normal’ people regularly hooked up with one another. then again, kennedy had been brought up in a conservative, sheltered household.. so really, what did she know? “i enjoy it? is that what you think? i guess my acting skills are better than i thought..” she teased in spite of herself, tensing up for a moment as arms moved around her before she relaxed a moment later, fingers pausing in the middle of buttoning her shirt. “don’t you have to work tonight?” she’d ask, smirking and rolling her eyes.
