Young!Rehman Dakait x Reader
Author's note : this is just a blurb that I felt like I just had to write it. Akshay Khanna has been living rent free in my mind since dhurandhar, even though I loved him since I saw dil chahta hai a few years ago, I've been obsessed with him after dhurandhar. Even though I created this account for my blond russki husband, Akshay invaded it first with this fic. And this is for the character akshay khanna played in dhurandhar not the real rehman dakait. Please note that.
Content : just a short fluffy blurb. This is for all the brown desi queens out there!💌
Rehman really hated being out for functions. He forced Uzair to accompany him and his father to celebrate Jameel Jamali's daughter's first birthday.
It was a summer evening and the entirety of Pakistan's elite were here to celebrate his daughter's birth. The large white mansion was covered in fairy lights and soft white curtains, doors and windows decorated with flowers and pearls. The sun had just set and it painted the corridors in a pink-orange hue, the main hall bright from the large white chandelier trying its best to glow brighter than the moon.
Rehman was staying close to his father looking around at the people and greeting them when they noticed him. Uzair yawned and Rehman gave him a smirk, cracking a joke. Rehman was about to follow his father when he noticed a cute sight at the dessert and sweets table.
He noticed that beautiful peacock shade of blue-green..the soft georgette material of your saree around your short hourglass silhouette. Your small hand reaching for the bal mithais on the large tray. Your hair spilled in waves in front of you, a few locks framing your face, the back of your head covered with the pallu over your head.
Rehman saw the most beautiful eyes he's ever seen, lined with kohl, big and doll-like as you looked around and ate the sweets like a cute little thief.
Uzair noticed Rehman smiling at the sight of the little thief. Rehman found you extremely adorable as you tried to hide some sweets in your pouch. He let out a soft laugh as he noticed you stuffing your face with one bal mithai.
You finally noticed him, soft cheeks now full, like a cute little squirrel, as you shyly gave them a sheepish smile and slipped away.
"Uzair...pata karo woh ladki kaun hai..."
(Uzair...Find out who she is...)
"...Ji, bhai."
(...yes, bhai.)
Rehman's eyes wandered now. Uzair had gone to mingle and get to know about who you are. Rehman didn't wish to talk to anyone else but Jameel Jamali already noticed him and had put a hand over his shoulder as he introduced the new Sher-e-Baloch to his friends.
That's when he noticed you with an older woman who was wiping at your soft, round lips angrily muttering at you in a language unknown to him.
Jameel introduced the elderly man of the family as his childhood friend, an Indian diplomat who had to be the little thief's father, your mother, and you, y/n l/n.
Your eyes met again and you looked positively embarrassed, obviously about him noticing you stealing sweets earlier and him catching you during the act. He smirked and gazed at your cute expressive face.
"Mera bhatija, Imran Zaidi se nikkah karne waali hai! Imran hindustan mein doctori padh raha hai na? College mein mili iss pyaari ladki ko, mohabbat mein gir gaya-"
(My nephew, Imran Zaidi, she's going to marry him! He's studying medicine in India no? He met this cute girl in college, he fell in love-)
Jameel's statement broke a piece of his heart. You are engaged to Jameel's nephew. Of course you are. You're beautiful, and someone obviously captured your heart already. But, Rehman isn't a man who gives up easily. Rehman returned your soft friendly smile, blinking his eyes playfully.
A few moments after your separation, he found you browsing at the sweets table again. He discreetly stood near you.
"...kya hua, meri jaan?"
(...what happened, my love?)
"Bal mithai khatam hogaye."
(Bal mithais are finished.)
You pout. Rehman is losing his mind over you. You're absolutely beautiful and adorable. He wants to keep you safe and loved, preferably in his arms.
"bal mithai bohot pasand hai, aapko?"
(Do you like bal mithai very much?)
"haan ji, bohot pasand hai. Lekin amma khaane nahin deti...yaha hi tho milti hai."
(yes, I like it very much. But, mom doesn't let me eat...I only get it here)
Rehman let out a small laugh. This girl is as cute as anyone can ever be. He'll get you all the bal mithais in the world if he gets to see you smile again.
"...Kyu hass rahe ho aap?"
(...why are you laughing?)
"Bas aap bohot...pyaare lag rahe hai."
(Just that you look very...cute right now)
You blushed. His hand found yours as you looked into each other's eyes, fingers gently caressing each other's.
Uzair was standing a little away and noticed the new couple with an admiring smile. They looked like a match made in heaven, the way they were gazing at each other. "Ya..Allah.."
Rehman had to pull away when he noticed your mother approaching them. He saw you leave, slyly gazing back at him until the car door finally cut off your gaze.
That night, you had just gotten out of the shower in your room of your fiance's mansion. You brushed your locks and were dressed in a simple white nightgown. Your dainty golden anklets felt cold against your skin after your shower as you got up and walked when you heard a soft tap in the balcony of your bedroom. You found a small box and a note.
You placed the giftbox on a table after closing the balcony doors. You held the note and read...
"...Yeh bal mithai, mere bawarchiyon ke haath se bane hue. Aapko pasand aayenge. Aap yeh yaad rakhna ki aap sirf bal mithaiyaan chori nahi ki...lekin unke saath mere dil bhi chori ki hai. Mein shikayat nahi karunga...kyuki aap bohot pyaari chor ho. Mera dil thoda sambhalke rakhna, meri jaan. Aap ka pyaara-Rehman."
(...These bal mithais, my chefs made them with their own hands. You'll love them. I want you to know that not only did you steal bal mithais...but with them you've stolen my heart too. I won't complain... because you're a real cute thief. Be careful with my heart, my love. Yours affectionately, Rehman.)
You could only blush as you read the note and pressed it right over your heart as if keeping his heart safe with yours. This guy is trouble and you craved trouble so much now, because it came in a handsome and loving package. You knew that this was just the beginning of something beautiful...
