Mission To educate our community to build and sustain a local movement to reduce and eliminate litter and promote participation in efforts to preserve our environment. Keep Crisp Beautiful is a non-profit organization with the mission to educate our community to build and sustain a local movement to reduce and eliminate litter and promote participation in efforts to preserve our environment. The duties of Keep Crisp Beautiful are to promote public interest for the general improvement of the environment for the City of Cordele and Crisp County, to initiate, plan, direct, coordinate programs that include litter control and recycling in conjunction with the citizens, governments, businesses and industries within the City of Cordele and Crisp County. KCB also studies, investigates and develops plans for improving the health, sanitation, safety and cleanliness of the City of Cordele and Crisp County, and is then able to advise and recommend plans for a cleaner community. Keep Crisp Beautiful is a non-profit organization located in the Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce and is comprised of volunteers, dedicated to working in our community to provide education about environmental issues, to attract business and tourism, and to improve the health of our community. Each area of the City and County are divided in to areas and measure litter with a step-by-step method to assess current litter conditions and other indicators. Today we celebrated our Earth with "Green Day" at South Georgia Technical College! Jannah Brown of Keep America Beautiful`s National Youth Advisory Council was on hand to speak to the students about the Litter Free Schools program. Afterwards students did a campus cleanup and picked up trash at South Georgia Technical College's Adopt-A-Highway! SGTC even rewarded them with a meal prepared by the Culinary Arts Program! Great job guys!!!
