Loki did pretty much the same, sizing up the stranger before him to see if he could accurately establish just who it was he was up against. Her physical abilities were not very telling, but she certainly gave off an attitude that he didn’t quite appreciate. “What kind of ridiculous question is that? I am not supposed to be anyone. I am who I am.”
One of Carol’s eyebrows rise into an unamused arch, a small wrinkle forming above her nose. “Okay, Shakespeare, and who exactly is that? Am I already supposed to know, because I haven’t been here for a while so I might’ve missed it.”

Carol’s brow furrowed a little bit. “Well, I just met him, like, a few hours ago, but sure. We’re best friends. And I came through that door.” She pointed through the door in question. “That suit is nuts. How did you figure out how to construct it? Was Tony your mentor?” She knew Tony was Iron Man and it seemed like her suit took direct inspiration from that.

“From what I’ve been told, you’ve been away for a long time.“ Since before she was born. But she knew a little of her story through Fury. Scarlett let out a small laugh as she crossed her arms and looked around “Oh boy, you lost so much…. Everyone here is nice, in different ways. I think we can start with my parents, Steve, Thor, Bruce and Tony.” She was pointing to the respective people as she spoke their names. “Tony isn’t here he- we don’t know what happened to him, but I hope he’s okay. He always find a way to come back from the dead so… if he’s still out there, he’s gonna appear sooner or later. So, they were the first ones to show up- i mean, after you, of course. And they work very well together but, you know, they have their conflicts sometimes.”
“You could say that.” Carol didn’t like to make a big deal out of her travels; her missions always felt like something she had to do because she was the only one that could. Her eyes followed and landed on each person Scarlett introduced. She had heard that Stark was missing, which was a shame. From the little bit of research she did it sounded like they would’ve gotten along. All the others seemed like they all needed day-long naps, which made sense considering what they all went through.
“Right, the Avengers.” The name makes her smile. “And Fury claims he’s not a sap.” There’s a pang of sadness in her chest, but she takes a deep breath and pushes it down. “Do we have any idea how bad it really is? How many people actually disappeared?”

“So, I’ve been away for a while. I don’t have the best grasp of what’s been going on around here. Can you give me a crash course of who...everyone is?” Carol had been introduced to a whole slew of heroes since she arrived back on Earth, but she always knew that the best people to find out information was from the young ones. They knew everything.
