My God is so big, so strong and so mighty there’s nothing my God cannot do.
Loving God doesn't make life effortless, but having His strength makes it easier.
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12 NIV
Faith
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
Food For Thought
Living your life as good as you are able to, is good enough.
You don't need to be superhuman, and you don't need to be perfect. Simply live the best you can, and God will take care of the rest.
Amen.
Nobody is less of a person for not going to church.
Strength
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
Philippians 4:13
Caring
Recently, the subject of caring was brought up when my good friend mentioned that I am too caring for my own good. It's hard to explain why I care so much, why I do the things I do, to my good friend as he isn't a believer. However, I did try my best to enlighten him. Caring can be interpreted as foolishness. Why do we care so much for others when we most of the time we mean nothing to them? Are we just being stupid? As Christians, we were taught to care for others. But how much is too much?Â
I went in search for answers, and studied the scripture. The simplest verse yet one of the hardest to practice:
Love your neighbor as you love yourself. Mark 12: 31.
A lot of people would then rebut to that verse saying that what if your neighbour doesn't deserve your care and love? Would you still love them? We should, because Jesus loves and forgave us for our sins. We should do the same to the people around us. It is not our place to judge others, it is not for us to decide if they deserve our love or not.
In Philippians 2:4 it says Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Ephesians 4:32Â Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another as God in Christ forgave you.
those three verses clearly tells us to care not only for ourselves but for others as well. Another verse which highlights caring for others is Galatians 6:9-10.
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
As a Christian, I hold God's words close to me. Love everyone. Care for everyone. If they hurt you, offer your other cheek to them. Don't fight back because Jesus will. We just have to be patient and continue to love.
I know it sounds foolish but that's what Jesus would do. WWJD? that's exactly what He will do. forgive and continue loving.
Don't stop caring!
Colossians 2:6-7
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
