Last night I truly atoned for my Jewish sins (L'Shana Tova by the way!) by gracefully face planting into some cement, resulting in a bloody cheek, chin, knuckles, knee and a very bruised sense of pride. I legitimately looked like I had got into a fist fight and lost. However, the whole embarrassing and painful ordeal has been made a little better by my sweet little puppy cat! Ripley, who normally spends her nights crawling all over the apartment or laying at our feet on the bed, spent almost the entire night tucked against my side as I slept. Her little nose jammed into my armpit and her favorite toy mouse tucked into her own armpit for safe keeping. She barely moved her position the entire night and I can't help but think she knew I was hurting and wanted to comfort me. The adorable spell was broken when she violently sneezed in my face at 5am, but I appreciate the sentiment regardless. I love this cat. I love her so much.
