it hurt him every day, knowing you aren’t with him anymore
duece, grim, and the others even grow concern for him when he tries so hard to smile and ends up breaking down
“ace…” deuce says as he notices ace’s shift of expression. “ace we know you aren’t okay” trey says. “i- i just miss y/n” ace says while he lets his tears fall. “i miss them so much,” ace says as he breaks down. trey and deuce let him cry out his pain, because they missed you too. “we know, ace, we miss them too” trey says while rubbing ace’s back. ace can’t cope up with the pain he’s feeling and he’s ready to trade everything he has just to bring you back.
LEONA KINGSCHOLAR
after your passing, leona felt as if his world crumbled
when it was the day of your funeral he didn’t bother leaving his room
in fact, he stayed in his room even more
he doesn’t sleep that well either
ruggie would try to take care of him but with leona pushing people away it was even harder.
“hey y/n,” leona says as he looks at your grave. “ruggie told me to visit you” he says as he puts down the flowers he brought. “i- shit” he says but pauses with the sudden ache in his chest. “i’m sorry, y/n, if i wasnt there, you were probably looking for me” he says and he felt tears falling from his eyes. “i’m such an ass” leona says as he finally cries out the pain he’s been feeling. “don’t haunt me, okay?” he says in between his sobs mixed with a chuckle. leona wished you stayed longer, he thinks its not fair that you left and he’s still here.
JADE LEECH
he tries to keep his composure

as jade was roaming around octavinelle he stumbled upon your room. he took the courage to enter your room, and a longing feeling washed over him. your room was still a bit messy so jade decided to clean up. “oh y/n, your room is always so messy” he says with a chuckle. he then finds your sweater you loved so much, picking it up, he looked at it for a while and that’s where he finally cried. the hoodie still smelt like you and thats when he missed you so much. “oi jade! i’ve been looking for-“ floyd stops as he sees his twin brother’s face burried in your sweater. “dear, i miss you so much…” floyd could hear jade’s sobs. jade thinks the world is too cruel by taking you away from him.
KALIM AL ASIM
kalim tried to stay strong for you
but there are nights where he would fail to stay strong
he’d break down, while saying he misses you
there are times where he’s trying so hard to keep his composure
but the bright personality couldn’t be found anymore
kalim woke up in the middle of the night from a bad dream. he stayed outside for a while for some air and looked up at the night sky. “how are you, y/n?” he asks the wind. “i wish you were here with me” kalim says as a tear fell from his eye. sorrow started to fill in him and he broke down. “i miss you so much” he blurts out while tears streamed down his face, he didn’t expect that it would hurt this much. kalim would travel the whole universe just to be with you again.
EPEL FELMIER
he doesn’t know what to feel
epel will probably go back to his family for a while for a break
though he still thinks of you, and once he does he’ll drop a tear or two
the boy didn’t know what to do now you’re gone
epel looked at the picure you both had, flipping through the printed photos you’ve taken with him when you’d go hang out with him. “i miss your stuborness, y/n” he says as he felt tears cascade down his face. he quickly wiped his tears and took deep breaths. “ah i can’t cry, or else you’ll tease me for it” epel says. epel wants to relive all the moments with you, but how is he supposed to do that when he has no one beside him anymore?
LILIA VANROUGE
lilia rushed to you straight away but it was too late
it took him a while to register what he felt
lilia felt heartbroken but tried not to show it
he stops himself from crying when he remembers you
but he always fails, somehow he finds himself breaking down alone
lilia stared at your grave for a while, letting his feeling flow through him. “y/n,” he said, and it felt so different saying that knowing you weren’t present anymore. “how am i older than you but you’re the first one to go before me?” he asked trying burst out a laugh but instead of a laugh a small cry came out of his mouth. “i could have prevented this from happening,” lilia says while he cries softly. “oh y/n i could have saved you but— i couldn’t” he says. “lilia-san, it’s been almost seven months, you should forgive yourself” malleus spoke as lilia nodded. lilia knows he needed to forgive himself in order to move on, but no one told him it would hurt like hell.

That's what the students say, what they don't notice is how diferent the collage is at this age.
They don't ask why there's a therapist being hired for NRC and how rigid their contract is, bided by a powerful unique magic, sealed in the deeps of a grave in the same building the story revolves around.
Noone questions why every dorm has more bonding activities instead of competitive ones, between themselves and their "rivals", all promoted by the head of the house Alsim.
Noone asks why every year there's a gathering between very old students, all always there, some grumpier than others, but even those are open to listen and many advises to give.
Noone sees seven specific guest always passing by a grave in the abandoned building leaving flowers behind, each year is the same, but noone bothered to ask
However, there's a story the paintings sometimes tell, of a magicless student who didn't belong to this world, their roommate monster, their friends and allies, and how in the end, they could go back home even if it was in a painful way.
