"Dawn Rising" A real fun piece to do and I learned a lot from it. I was exploring a technique called Sfumato developed by Leonardo da Vinci. I didn't quite nail it but I still want to pursue it more.Ā

This was done a few days ago.Ā Been awhile since Iāve done fan art, so I decided to end the year with a Sora piece.
This was suppose to be a quick simple study of a photo, but ended up spending more time on it.
This character was fun to design. Main focus on this one was speed, and try to find a steady work flow.
This one took way too long. Ā Kept stopping and starting on it til I just didn't want to do anymore.
At first this piece was just going to be a simple portrait, but I also knew that at some point I wanted to ease my way into landscapes, so I thought why not now?

This design was loosely based off of samurai armor. Ā I wanted to focus on using multiple colors in similar hue ranges and try to make them work together. Original character.
