Mika tensed up for a minute. Did Yuu not get the memo that Mika never actually cut himself!? He laughed nervously and looked at his finger. “Ahaha… actually, it’s fine now! Well, now I know where the nurse’s office is. Sorry to bother you!”

Before the nurse could even say anything, Mika dragged Yuu out the door and closed it a little too harshly. He looked pointedly at Yuu.

Once they were a few paces away from the classroom, Mika grabbed onto Yuu’s sleeve and caused him to pause in his tracks. He swallowed thickly, waiting until their eyes met, his heart racing in his chest.

It was the first day of classes, and of course, Mikaela Shindou was standing in front of his new homeroom, surveying everyone in shades of black, white, and gray. The teacher introduced him to the class as Mika wrote his name on the board, and when he turned around, he introduced himself.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you all,” Mika said, glancing about the room, making sure to make eye contact with as many people as he could. Nope, nope, nope. None of them triggered that starburst effect he had been waiting for. A few students weren’t looking at him, instead opting to nap on their desks or stare out the window. One black-haired guy in the back yawned as he gazed out the window, and Mika’s eyes lingered on him for a moment before glancing away.

“You may call me Mikaela or Mika. I hope we can get along.” Mika finished and bowed politely. After most of the class clapped, Mr. Ichinose told him where to sit, and Mika made his way down the aisle.

Yuu slightly looked over at mika listenjng then looked away so he made it look like he wasnt listening. He soon greated mika quietly but softly “hi….” to him. He was at least trying to make mika feel welcome to the school.

Mika could care less about superficial relationships when his second half was out there, waiting to turn his world into one filled with brilliant color. He didn’t bother looking at the other boy closely, instead focusing on pulling out his books and getting situated.

He couldn’t help but to feel a little disappointed that despite coming to a new school, his soulmate seemed to still be elsewhere.

When would the day come when he would see the world in such brilliant color like everyone talked about? His fingers itched to just grab the shirt collars of everyone in the room and lock eyes with them just to find out.

At one point while Mika was taking notes, his pencil accidentally flung out of his grasp and clattered to the ground right beside the foot of the boy sitting next to him. Mika reached out to grab it but realized he was too far away, but luckily the other boy seemed to notice the pencil. He picked it up, and Mika looked up at him to thank him–

He was almost glad Yuu was huddled up against his side looking down. If they were looking into each other’s eyes in that moment, Mikaela worried his heart would burst from joy. Hearing something so sudden like that had Mikaela’s head spinning. A fantasy he always dreamed would come true… and somehow, even though the circumstances were nothing like he imagined… it happened.

“Yuu-chan…” Mikaela whispered, though he suddenly felt afraid. Yuu had just mentioned pranks, after all. His throat got tight with apprehension as he asked, “This… this isn’t a joke, right?”

Hearing something so sudden like that had Mikaela’s head spinning. A fantasy he always dreamed would come true… and somehow, even though the circumstances were nothing like he imagined… it happened.

“Yuu-chan…” Mikaela whispered, though he suddenly felt afraid. Yuu had just mentioned pranks, after all. His throat got tight with apprehension as he asked, “This… this isn’t a joke, right?”

Wondering why he was just poked in the nose a few times, Mikaela turned a confused expression to Yuu. Weren’t they going to catch up? Could it be that Yuu was nervous and didn’t know what to say?

“Uh… is there something on my face, Yuu-chan?” Mikaela asked hesitantly, his brows tensed.

“No…i was just tried to fool a bit around make ya smile” he explain as he look back all innocent like “um…so uh, what did you do while u were gone bassically?” He asked all nervous but lean against his sword gentle.

He seem to admire how the taller male looked. A hint of blush was trying to show but hidden it

Mikaela fought back a small blush that threatened to spread across his cheeks. Yuu was being too adorable for his own good–Mikaela swallowed thickly and looked away when he asked the question.

The answer wasn’t very light-hearted. Mikaela frowned a bit as he recalled his lonely days, all the years gone by where seemingly nothing had changed.

“Not much,” Mikaela answered honestly, solemnly. “Vampires aren’t a huge fan of having fun or forming friendships. It’s lonely. I don’t have anyone to trust or talk to honestly. It’s… strange being honest with you since I’m not used to it.”

He glanced to Yuu and offered a small smile. “I figure you’ve been training hard, Yuu-chan.”

Yuu chuckled nervously and nodded “yeah trainning hard but also gettjng my but kicked one by a girl, 2. By my superior which note to self never try to kick him first. And 3. Trying to keep a certain someone in check” he said to his sword annoyed slightly. He then try to make it funny moment “hey…do u remember the pranks that we started to do around the orphanage?” He asked trying to cheer up mika

Mikaela tried not to let himself get too worked up. Yuu sounded like he trusted these people, but they were Mikaela’s enemies. He was instinctively on-edge hearing about them and he wanted to warn Yuu not to trust them. He knew all-too-well about the JIDA’s experimentation and horrific rules… who knew what they’d do to Yuu.

“Ah…” Mikaela blinked at the memories. He managed to smile a little as he looked at Yuu. “Somewhat. it’s been a while.”

“True but i still like our plan with the feathers prank on akane” he chuckled then look at the stars “i really miss you mika…”

He looked down as tho he wanted to say more but he seem hesitant and embarrassed about something he wanted to say

Hearing Yuu’s soft-spoken confession has Mikaela’s heart beating a little faster. He turned to gaze at Yuu with surprise and affection warming his eyes, and he was pretty sure Yuu had more he wanted to say. Eager to hear it, Mikaela waited for a moment before gently encouraging him to speak.

“Yuu-chan?” Mikaela asked, a hint of a teasing smile on his lips. “You look like you have more to say.”

Yuu looked at mika still embarrassed “i um….” he was now nervous to tell mika he loved him, more then a brother kind but was to flusting red as a blush was showing which could be mistaken as a embarrassment.

But suddenly he felt his chest hurt, he didnt want mika to worry if taller male did, so he acted like it was nothing but look tired a bit

“May i just lean against you a bit” he asked not thinking at the momeng

Mikaela blinked with surprise, feeling a strange sort of sensation swirling in his chest. It was warm and tight, making questions rest on his tongue. He wanted to know what Yuu was really going to say, but he wasn’t going to push it.

“Of course,” Mikaela responded softly, feeling a little flustered at the thought of Yuu being pressed up against his side. He moved his arm a little so that Yuu could rest there comfortably.

For a moment he wondered if Yuu would talk to him honestly at all. It had been a while after all, and he wouldn’t really be surprised if Yuu didn’t trust him as much anymore, even if the thought hurt him.

Yuu sat beside him closer and rest his head against him gently "thanks, mika..." he then try to confidence and straight forward "i-i...love you, like...love love kind of love" he says quietly but t was still heardable
