Today marks the centennial anniversary of the birth of Dr. Samuel J. Kennedy. He was a long time professor of philosophy at then Rockhurst College. More important to many Brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Doc K was the founding advisor for the Missouri Delta chapter. Doc and wife Marge were fixtures at ΣΑΕ functions for decades. He was initiated with our founding Brothers on March 18, 1972 when he was 49 years old. Doc passed away on 2/2/02, and Marge in 2008. Happy Founder’s Day to the Missouri Delta chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Installed on March 18, 1972, we are fifty years old today. This photo (taken on the timer by me while I ran up on the left) is circa 1982/83 when we were young and our house was at the corner of Tracy and Rockhurst Road.
