Hello! Hello! Welcome to my little slice of this hellsite, and just let me say, I’m glad to welcome you and do so with open arms. Pleasantries aside, allow me to introduce myself to you and yours.

My name, or at the very least the only one you know, is CosmicHorrorsAreStillNicerThanMe. However, that is QUITE the mouthful and as such for the sake of simplicity you may call me “Mr. Cosmic”. I am a asexual fellow of… many interests between gaming, reading, watching anime, listening to music, yapping at my friends, practicing boxing, and numerous other things. According to those MBTI tests, I am an INTJ. More personally, however, I am an… eccentric, a hermit, a relatively sarcastic jackass, a storyteller, a muser, somewhat of a philosopher, and to some, a raconteur of sorts. alright, i'll be the one to say it. ao3 and tumblr becoming "mainstream" did so much damage to the community and the writers. i have seen loads of videos and posts about:

1. people hating on writers and fics. writing is something we do for free and for fun. if you stumble upon a fanfic that isn't necessarily your cup of tea or you just don't like, scroll. dont read it. literally leave their page. you don't know if this could be the author's first work that they're so excited about, you dont know if the language they're writing in isn't their first language, you dont know that the writer could be a literal teen and loads of other reasons. fanfictions don't HAVE to be perfect. you write what you want to write because we do it for fun and enjoyment and we want to share that to the world. seriously, what is the wrong with that?..

2. x reader consumers getting WAY too entitled. the number of tiktoks i've seen that say "i run a strict program when it comes to reading fanfics." girl you aint running shit. this is FAN FICTION you're reading. F A N F I C T I O N. there is no denying that most fanfiction writes are beyond talented but just because you read one fanfic that exceeds your expectations doesn't give you the right to talk down on others that don't. people have their own personal writing style, their way of doing things and you talking shit on that isn't right.

at the end of the day, we are all humans, reading and writing is what we do and what we're meant to do. and for you to talk shit about a person WRITING is so insane. we are humans. not some robots that you can tell what to do so you can consume it.

i've seen so so many authors take down their fanfics and losing all motivation to write because of a hate comment. DONT LIKE DONT READ‼️

and to every author reading this, this community values your work and your contribution. we love u and, please, never let anyone's negative words have an effect on you.

Don't worry, I am alive I've just been working on my little world building project which is... no longer so little... so let me have the immense pleasure of giving you the introduction. Though I should say its far from finished at the moment. However... this little thing will hopefully be something special when its ready enough to actually enter testing for the war and role-playing games that go with the world itself. That aside, allow me to give you a peak into The World Of Aria.

-An Introduction To Aria-

Aria… Aria is a land of old things, powerful things, and… it is a land that does not judge our sins. She holds us close when nights grow cold. She grants us the gentle breeze when the sun scorches the land. Furthermore, she gives us rain when the crops are dry. Likewise, she gifts us the tallest mountains and the deepest oceans, alongside the rolling hills and the gentle plains. But be wary, for as freely she gives she can just as easily take with tooth and claw, fang, and venom. However, she never takes lives with steel, as that is an evil of our own making.

Yet, even when Aria takes, she still gives something in return, as it is from these things The Flow is born. The Flow of the flame that warms the traveler by the fire, and the flame that burns cities to naught but ash. The Flow of the sea that connects us across vast distances, and the terrible mistress that devours ships and mountains alike. The Flow of the land that nurtures, and the terrifying strength of a mountain falling upon villages. The Flow of the sky so blue that tells us we are not alone, and the malefic maelstroms that shred men to nothing but bones as terrible arcs of lightning fell tree and town house alike. The Flow of life as the bull that grants the farmer its strength to plow a field, and the venom of a snake that with a single bite could kill a man a thousand times over.

And still there remain many more powers upon Aria, too many to be named in all honesty. Yet there is still one more power that must be mentioned, not only because of its impact and danger, but because of its nature as well.

The only power not to be born from Aria itself, and the only power born from those who live with knowledge of their own mortality and existence. The only power born from those who live in cities, the only power born from me and you. The Flow known as will. Will is a dangerous thing, a dangerous path, and a dangerous power. With it, any man can ascend so high their fingertips reach the very heavens or fall so low that the deepest pits of hell become paradise in comparison to what they deserve. Will is what birthed steel which binds our constructs together and the blade that severs bodies in half.
