Thing 19
Overall I have enjoyed 19 mobile things. I learned some new information about my device that I didn't know before and I also got a little more experience with some apps that I am already familiar with. I typically use google docs a lot anyway, but having the extra practice with it really helped teach me more about it. I really like that I can use this knowledge in my classes and to help improve some projects. However, since I use my phone a lot anyway, I already had prior knowledge on most of the apps and programs. It mainly added some additional "tid-bits" so to speak to what I already know. If there was another 19 mobile things in the future I think it would be better to give a list of say 20 things and let people chose 10 from it just to make it easier for them to choose things they may want to know more about and skip those that they already know. But, I did enjoy the experience and I do think it gave me some knowledge that I can use in the future.
Thing 18
For this thing I used the app Apps Gone Free seeing as it was the only one supported by iTunes. It was interesting to see what other apps had made it onto the page, but the selection was very limited and it seemed a bit pointless to use an app to find another app. Nevertheless I downloaded a scrabble app that was free for the day and it seemed fun and similar to the actual game. Because of the limited selection this is the game that appealed the most to me however I don't think I'll play it that much because I typically use my phone for contact with friends and family. Overall it was a decent app but I don't think it's something I'll be using again in the future.
Did you have a great weekend?
Thing 17
For this thing I decided to use the SketchBook Express app. I haven't really heard of it before but I have used other drawing apps similar to it. For me it's just not the same as using a good old fashioned pencil and paper but it'll do if you're looking for some amusement. I typically find it hard to try and draw with my finger on my phone because the screen is so small so I don't think this is an app I'll be using on the regular. It was a bit hard to navigate, but I didn't invest too much time into trying to figure it out. Overall it was a pretty cool app!
For Thing 16 I chose to play the game candy crush! Back when it first came out I got sucked into the sugar coated world and would play it non stop. I still enjoy the game when I get a chance to play and think it is a cute little game for any age range. Overall I really like the game!
Thing 15
Since I am relatively unfamiliar with any of the apps that were listed on the page, I decided to try out the Today's Document app to see what it had to offer. I looked up what the well known event that happened on my birthday was just to see what it had to say. Apparently the treaty of Kanagawa was signed on that day which opened the ports of Shimoda and Hakodate in Japan to trade with America. I didn't mind using the app, however it doesn't look to be updated to fit to the IPhone 5c and above so the app was placed a bit awkwardly on my screen. Overall it was pretty cool getting to see the different events that happened on various days!
I can't wait for spring to come again!
Thing 14
For this thing I decided to go with the Amazon Kindle app because I have prior experience with using it. I downloaded it on my phone a while back to use when I didn't have access to an actual book to read and found that I didn't mind using it. The app is a good substitute but I prefer having the actual book there in front of me. It is also a little awkward to try and read just on your phone if you don't have a tablet available to use. However, it does it's job and I enjoy being able to just pick up a book and start reading it right there on my phone.

Thing 13
For thing 13, I decided to use the Hoopla app because I hadn’t gotten around to checking it out and I figured now was as good a time as any! I love that it has many different fields to it in terms of what you can check out. The only thing I noticed was that the extent of the time period is a bit short. I will often check something out and never actually get around to watching/listening or reading it because of my schedule. Also, only getting to check out 10 items a month seems a bit limiting, almost like I have to strategically plan out what I check out in order to stay within the 10 item margin. But, I look forward to checking it out some more and seeing what it has to offer! ^-^

Thing 12
I chose to use the YouTube app on my phone for thing 12. I use YouTube basically every day and I create my own music playlists on there or I just enjoy watching different videos that peak my interest. My one complaint for the app is that, while you can create playlists and listen to music, you can't listen to the video or music outside the app or when your phone is off. I know they created YouTube Red where you can listen to it without being in the app but it seems a bit silly to pay for something like that. Just my personal thoughts though! I really love the app otherwise! ^-^

For thing 11, I chose to download Instagram layout. I knew about Instagram but I didn't know about the editing app they had and I have to say that I really like it. I have already used it to edit and put together a bunch of my own photos. I like that it gives you different options on how you set it up and that it saves your past pieces. I like putting photos together or editing them and I think this app gives lots of great options!
