Normal groceries like milk or bread or whatever running out is whatever. Just anotha day. But when stuff like salt or cooking oil or rice runs out it feels like You’re supposed to be here for me and you’re leaving. You’re just like everyone else
I volunteer to be possessed by an old Joseon era queen so that somebody can live my mundane modern era life with absolute whimsy
why do i have to buzz my hair off to feel complete
also they had a manga library hosted by manga carolina there as well! i’ve seen and read their collection once so i was excited also fun fact the founders of the org are librarians themselves and they completed their mls with a librarian that worked with! small world 💳📚
side bar i’ve been wanting to read more romance and slice of life manhwas from the late 90s and early 2000s. like the one i have above , also want to start collecting more as well. the first manhwa i ever read in paper form was goong bc my school library had the first copy and luckily my local library had the full series. as someone who loves korean culture i wish i read more paper forms of manhwa along with webtoons obv 😊
i went to momocon on saturday , it was impromptu and last minute lol but thought i’d experience it. i thoroughly enjoyed myself, was masked up and prepared for walking. attended a few panels , the artist alley and exhibit hall were intense lol , saw cool cosplays , played a one-shot of everyday heroes
all around a good time, def would go again and this time bring friends

"Why do you buy books when the library is right there?"
Because publishing houses will not continue printing paper books if libraries are their only customers.
Also, I like being able to read at my leisure and generally have books at hand.
#public libraries are good because they let people access books they might never otherwise read#private book ownership is good because it's Yours#physical books are good because they last a long time and again it's Yours#ebooks are good because you can fit a whole library into the physical space of a single book and they're cheaper to produce#audiobooks are good because they're accessible to people with eyesight or visual reading issues and leave your hands free#in conclusion: all books are good and people should enjoy them however and whenever they can#(lest it be misunderstood I agree with you completely OP I just also really like books in general and it got away from me)
YES. all books. every kind
