I’ve decided to take the concept of the avatars of the fears from the Magnus archives and assigned a fear to some of my favorite characters!! On the surface you can’t even tell so if not interested in the idea or have no prior knowledge of the podcast in question and just like the art then there’s no need to click the extra aside from additional pictures :)

So as a method of jumping right into it I decided to go straight for the Eye, because yk it’s the easiest and most prevalent in the series so not hard. I think it’s also pretty easy to see why Wally would be the eye based off current knowledge about the puppet he’s very associated with eyes (⁎⁍̴̆Ɛ⁍̴̆⁎) it just makes sense

If I think he’d be a willing avatar or forced? Uhhhmmm, I can’t say for sure but perchance he feels more like a forced one, like with all the stuff about the show and the theories about him being forced to report back to the runners about his friends so they don’t get all gay but at the end of the day he just doesn’t feel like a malicious guy to me! More like unwilling vessel of all seeing and all knowing, boy John sure can relate to that can’t he.

My method of showing this in the drawing itself is just by giving him the avatar patterns associated with the eye on his felt skin, easy peasy

Spamtenna loving each other and being committed for life isn't just more accurate, but it's also much deeper and ties into Deltarune's theme of autonomy. If they weren't a happy compatible couple, or even if they were fine together but didn't care too much about staying together forever, their separation would no longer be such a tragedy and such a huge violation of their autonomy and it might even be a good thing, which would undermine or even outright destroy the thematic significance said separation has.

Since we'll probably get to reunite them if we take the steps necessary for it, that would also make them tie into the theme of hope and defying fate, and if they weren't a loving couple, the possibility of reuniting them wouldn't be a positive or hopeful thing, and it would mean that fate was actually right to separate them.
